OK, just in case it IS working, short version is "filtering" should be by "folder'.
I would like my INBOX filtered by UNREAD, but OTHER folders ordered differently. e.g. SENT FOLDER, or my DRAFT folder to be ordered by DATE, newest first. Frankly, ALL my other folders could be ordered by date, typically newest first.
But whatever order I select for my INBOX, flows through to e, e.g. DRAFTS.
OBVIOUSLY, NONE of my drafts are UNREAD, so when I click on DRAFTS, I see NOTHING, and I am immediately thinking I screwed something up and…

Have Notification Options for Folders
When you create a folder, you should have the option to put a notification on that folder. These would include...
The type of notification (the traditional options, like banner, dot, etc.)
Any sound that you wish to apply to that notification (if given a list of options, to help distinguish it from other folders)
Also, you have the option to turn these notifications on and off, at any given point in time.

Issue moving folders that have emails in them
It is a major drawback that you cannot move folders that have emails in them. There are literally endless scenarios where people would need to do this but here is mine. I have a Travel folder. I create subfolders for each trip I am going on and sore emails related to that trip in the subfolder. Once the trip is over I typically want to keep the emails for reference but do not want to have the folder taking up space in the list of future trips so I used to then move the subfolder into an Archive subfolder (using…

emptying trash.
helping my wife delete her 1000's of **** mail, i found out that the trash won't empty if there are more than 9999 emails in it.
how often would this pop up? idk. but it was annoying to find out. -

Dear sir / Madam
Today I am logged in my yahoo mail account and surprise, my all previous email (Sent & Received) all are missing (Not showing in any folders). I have a some issue in past 14 months, so that I could not be able to check my emails.
If this is a mistake then please forgive once, this wont happen again. Please retrieve all my mails in my inbox folder ASAP.
At least give one chance to customer (user) for retrieve there email data. This will strengthen Yahoo's relationship with its users.

Delete doesn't work
I go to select delete all emails from a folder. On the web browser it shows them deleted but in the app it still shows them there.
Which is correct? This is important for your new mail storage limit. Please fix ASAP

Cannot empty trash
I used all of my storage and ran out of space. I cleared out my email and have a large number to delete from my trash. I have tried four times to delete the trash and it appears to work, but the emails remain. I don't want to lose my yahoo email. How can you improve this process?

folder expansion/contraction idea
Dragging Emails to Folders and Sub-folders. It would be a nice enhancement to require hovering over a folder before the sub-folders underneath it are expanded. Since expansion is more or less immediate, it just requires another action on my part to contract those to make for a "clean" non-expanded folder list. Also, hovering over a folder with sub-folders before it's expanded would alleviate "accidental/unintended" expansion while moving your cursor around and briefly selecting a folder of non-interest.

Mass deletion works for inbox but not trash folder!
Your mass deletion of emails in my inbox works but it does not work for emails in my trash folder. Please fix it ASAP! or I cannot reduce my storage space in time.

I mostly like the new design. But I would like to add the Spam and Trash folders back to the main list. Is there a way to do that? The new design made it hard to find them and there is no trashcan icon for deletions.
