Securing an email with a password.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Yahoo Customer Care.
I understand that you'd like to send an email secured with password and I know how important it is to you.
Unfortunately, what you're looking for isn't possible in the current version of the product. I can see how that'd be useful, though. You should post your suggestion to add that function on our feedback forum. Our product teams review the posts and look for ideas to include in future releases.
Thank you for your efforts and understanding in this matter. Should you have any other concern, feel free to reach us.

I liked my old emoticons with the batting eyelashes and winking eye etc. You have removed them and I don't see how to put them back. Can you
I want the old emoticons back. They had motion, a little winking eye or batting eyelashes. I can still find a page about them online, but I don't see a way to bring them back. Can you please help me with this? I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. I still see them listed on a Yahoo page. But it doens't show how to download them.

When the computer has changed time zones, you have picked a strange list of cities to choose from. How about WE enter a city, YOU find it?
To determine a customer's time zone, how about if (S)HE chooses the city, and YOU look it up?
If this is problematic, you can always GOOGLE it.

Please change back to the old method of marking emails as read/unread. New method is totally frustrating!

Add a cross button on the right of the mail search text box
This is a small request. Use case: Enter a word in the Yahoo Mail Search Box E.g. PMP, click the magnifying glass to start searching, the mails containing PMP appear on the mail list pane. To remove this search criteria I have to click Inbox. Suggestion: Provide a cross button on the right of the Search box. To remove the search results, click on the cross button to display without any search criteria.

Mail should jump to new emails as downloaded. You don't know you have new emails til you slide the scroll bar which looks grayed out.
When you check for new mail, it should automatically jump to the new unread messages. You are not aware unless you scroll down that new messages are available.
The scroll bar is very grey and it is not obvious that there is a space above it when new messages have come in.
Very annoying and missing emails going and coming. Never happened in Classic.
And no jump to page 1, 2 or X at the bottom of the page. So when you finish reading you have to go all the way back to the top to navigate to a different… -
DO NOT LIKE THE CHANGE. The message list is too wide and cannot be made any narrower than about 40% of the screen.

How about the magnifier and trash can to one side and star to the other?
The proximity of the star to the magnifier seems to give some real problems, so they should be separated. I selected the star to see what it does and so far as I'm concerned, it's a terminally cute feature that can be eliminated.

implement a fix on # of e-mail addresses that can be blocked
Everyone usually blocks spam e-mail addresses. However, there is a limit to how many can be blocked. After that, spam e-mails can only be deleted. How about adding a date stamp to blocked spam e-mail addresses and delete them when they are four months old? By then, spammers have moved on to other e-mail addresses so you don't have to worry about the one you blocked 4 months ago. That will free up room for new spam e-mail addresses to be blocked.

Reduce wasted space and cluttered look.
Give user more options to control the view. Give options to size the left and right panels. Even the top theme is wasting space and the final look is too cluttered and distracting.

Get rid of the ads by using WAB - Webmail Ad Blocker
Webmail Ad Blocker WAB will get rid of the ads in Yahoo Mail and GMail. It clears the right-side of the screen where the ads are and it lets Mail use the whole screen.
It's available for Firefox and Chrome and it's free.
I never click on ads and I found them to be bl**dy annoying like everyone else, so WAB solves the problem.
I bet Yahoo deletes this post!

spam
I am disgusted my the filth and garbage that is in my spam folder. Naked pictures of women and disgusting titles to the messages. How is this even allowable?? At one point you could "block" these messages, but not any more. I will not let my kids have Yahoo emails because of this reason. I will get rid of mine if something is not done about it.

large addressee boxes block
The box that appears, while my cursor is still on the addressee's name, blocks the text that I am typing, so I can't see the results of my execrable typing skills. Did you Beta test this system at all? No minimally perceptive user could fail to notice how inefficient and obstructive this feature of your software is.

auto localization
I know, IT people are exposed to a lot of electro smog, so i tried to help you defume one of the dumbest ideas since the innovation of the internet!
Auto localization!
It's stupid because of all the people that maybe travelling and only temporarily access the net in some country where they don't speak the local language. Even a baby that has not been exposed to electro smog will wonder how some nerdy techies can think it's a good idea to automatically redirect someone that enters mail.yahoo.com and therefore probably wants the English version, not some Portuguese as is… -
Unsubscribe
If I wish to unsubscribe to a contact's email, I will do so. It is not helpful for you to list and offer to unsubscribe a contact's email for me.
