New Mail Basic
Welcome to our Yahoo Basic Mail feedback forum! This is a place for you to help shape the new Yahoo Basic Mail experience. We review the most popular, feasible ideas from this forum to make positive changes to your Yahoo Mail.
Basic Mail provides base functionality like reading and writing messages, but does not include many of the advanced options. To use these features, we recommend upgrading to full-featured version of Yahoo Mail.

Dump the Apply button.
Get rid of the Apply button. They whole idea of good UI design has always to make it require the least number of clicks possible to accomplish a task. It feels like this interface was created by people who don't understand basic UI design concepts.
The old interface was simple and it worked. You broke it, for no good reason.33rd ranked -

I liked having "this week" and "last week" batching
It made it so much easier to find an email from a week or so ago.
If I wanted to use Gmail, I'd use Gmail. You are not Gmail. Gmail sucks. Your version is getting worse with these "enhancements." They are not enhancements or improvements! They're awful!

Harder to switch between accounts.
Previously, you could much easier switch between accounts. You could go to the upper right corner and there would be a dropdown option. It no longer exists. You must now go to the main Yahoo site and switch. Very annoying.

Include actions at bottom of page as well as top.
At the top of the page are actions we can take to move emails to diffferent folders) (e.g. delete/trash, spam, labeled folders) but the same actions aren't at the bottom of the page. Please add them to the bottom so we don't have to scroll back and forth to move emails.

Having to click to advance pages of email is terrible. The new interface is not user friendly and has become more like ancient mail
Get rid of only 20 e-mails "per page" and have it scroll like it did before. Mail also nolonger auto-refreshes and i'm constantly refreshing the page manually to see new e-mails. Neither of these items are improvements - they make the yahoo mail experience worse.

Links in Signature
I used to have links in my signature and now the links have become inactive and there's no way to edit them to re-do the links. Bring back ink functionality in signatures.

Readd the "return to folder" button
In the old basic mail a week ago, when you clicked on an email, there would be a button in the top left that said "Return to <FOLDER>" with whatever folder you had been in. Clicking that would take you back to viewing the folder in the state it had been when you left, including if any emails were checked off or not.
Now, that button is missing. So there's no easy way to get back to viewing what you were looking at before you clicked an email.
Please restore the "Return to <FOLDER>" button.

I used to forward several attachments from files easily , now I select one then go back to selct another etc. Seems like more steps involve
go back to making it easier to attach items from my files to forward to others. Now i have to make individual picks, attach itto my email, go back pick another , attach, again and again up to 5 choices beofre forwarding them via email too much work now

Can't edit forwarded messages
You've got to be kidding me! So now when I forward a message I have the choice of sending the entire thing or deleting the entire original message. No way to delete part of it, not even the part showing the person's name and email, which is a privacy issue. Again, do you even TEST this stuff before forcing us to use it?

Remove the countdown timer for a new 2 step code to login into your email, its not needed, just have a button saying send new code!
When you have a timer it stresses you out to add the numbers quickly, its not needed, just add a button to send new code like other sites do.

why did you get rid of the dropdown box options??
the old system allowed you to right-click on checked item and do the selection. now, we have to check the item(s), go to the top of the account to the "actions" box, then click on GO. SO MANY MORE STEPS!!! this is not efficient at all. guess it is time to get rid of Yahoo and move on to other email options.

get rid of right panel that opens when one searches in Yahoo Plus
dunno why anyone thought that I need to see a panel when I search for an email that tells me how long I have been corresponding with someone, how many emails I've sent and what the subject was in the first email. How is any of this information remotely useful? I used to work as an human factors engineer for Boeing and this is pretty much the same as a pilot opening a chart and a panel displaying telling him/her how many times they have flown to that airport and when the first time was. Point of all of this…
