I suggest adding both hover and mouse-down actions with visual feedback. Hover can make the image slightly larger and mouse down can change color for instance. My mouse was at least the width of the trashcan icon away from the actual icon and the message was deleted when I accidentally clicked. Instead, make the delete active only when actually clicking over the icon.387th ranked -
Missing email from eBay and other sites I use frequently.
Ever since Yahoo made the unwelcome decision to change to the new email, things have been going wrong Today I was expecting an email regarding an order to be shipped. I found it my spam folder along with ~30 other emails from eBay. Other notable ones were there including email from the USPS, my cable provider, notification about bill payments, and other important mail. considering all these problems that Yahoo can't seem to solve. I have mentioned before the lag times and it wont stay in the settings I choose. Why don't you switch back to the Classic Mail? This…

HATE new format!
Go back to the old format. People have more important things to do with their lives than spending hours trying to figure a new email format, designed, I am sure, by someone with nothing better to do.

More color options for vision issues
Having more color options that are better for people with vision issues would be good. Leave the perimeter colors, but give option for email viewing area to have diffused colors rather that just dark or white. Extremely hard to view the way it is now.

The new format is disgusting. I have lost emails.
I keep getting ads that do not apply to me. I have lost several important emails. I cannot read the emails clearly because they are to light and too close together. PLEASE bring back the old format...not the classic that is the same as the new..because you think we are dumb enough to fall for that. I want the OLD format. I do not have time to fool with a new email and moving all my emails to it. Why can't you just give us all back what we want???

I'm reporting a glitch
This is not an 'idea'; I just can't find the proper channel to report a glitch (so maybe this is an idea for improvement-make it easier to/clearer how to report a bug).
For the last few days 'search' in Yahoo mail has been functioning poorly. When I enter a keyword I'll get somewhere between 2 to 8 results from roughly the past 2 months. Below that will be the blue ring going around in circles indicating that Yahoo mail's search program/algorithm is still looking for earlier messages containing my keyword...but nothing ever happens - no older messages ever appear and…387th ranked -

I have automatically generate previews switched off in my settings, but previews are generating and there is no way to delete them.
If I have "automatically generate previews" switched off in my settings, links should not generate previews in my emails. Also, there is no way to delete the preview in my composed email. Please fix so that I can at least delete them. Thank you.

The new yahoo is a downgrade I am missing many functions the old one had. Is there an option to help fix the interface?

Stop changing things without email users permission, we use it because we like it.
Who exactly thought that oversized buttons, no separation between years of messages, and plastic cartoon backgrounds was a good idea, and when did WE vote for him to have the ability to change OUR email?? Seriously, did you guys hire a 12 year old who thought Paypal changes that we still cannot stand would be a good idea on email?? If I wanted it adapted to someone else, then it wouldn't be my email, now would it?Really fantastic way to move everyone to Gmail right??

Why is the technology that allows emails to be filed in folders not working?
Why are there so many days, such as today, when files in the Inbox cannot be filed to the appropriate folders? This happens several times a month.
