  2. Enable the "Generate an app password" feature in Yahoo or get rid of it so I can access my Yahoo email via Outlook.

    Get rid of the need to generate an app password to use Outlook to access my Yahoo mail account - using my (secure) Yahoo login credentials should be secure enough! Also, the "Generate an app password" feature is currently NOT WORKING which is so frustrating!

    When clicking sign out on the modal it's not working. Still shows signed in. Also sign out of all devices button isn't working either.

    you need to fix your ******* application password generator. I have been a Yahoo user for over 25 years. I call ******** on the password generator not working. I seems to me from the length of time it has been inoperable and the overwhelming number of comments on the issue, that it has been disabled intentionally to drive traffic to Yahoo.

    You are sending broken sms-otp's thru compromised provider. Typically your otp is delivered by +44 7873 077777 with appropriate contect. Now it is delivered thru a national prepaid number and with inappropriate content. Please manage this better, it is important security feature!

  11. Backup security emails

    I have ie, blahblah@yahoo.com and my backup is blahblah@comcast.net. Yahoo would not recognize them as having different suffixes (Yahoo and comcast.net). It would not allow me to put it in but a Yahoo tech put secondary in. Then began the month i couldn't get in and spent hours and hours on the phone. I'm a grateful person but I guess they couldn't figure it out .. 2 techs hung up on me. I figured it out and called back and asked them to delete secondary that was causing so much problems.     Leave physical passcode keys, sure it costs the consumer more because your paying for a more secure system / wallet / banking system. I would not trust my retirement information or Investment information to any
    "Finance website" that utilzes a Cloud passwords aquirement system, an SMS system, an Email verification system or any 2 step verification system that can be defeated with a cloned phone, Sim card
    swapping, randsomware, trogans, malware, fake apps or cloned webpages like yours for instance. Your Bankers for Gods sake you know better, ignorance

    "That phone number is already being used by too many other accounts, please use a different number" Thats strange because i only use 1 yahoo account and other email accounts from other companies shouldnt affect yahoo account.

  16. device notification

    I cannot toggle my old phone off in device notification. I'm not sure why it got added in the first place. My new phone is also added there. There is no way to toggle either the new or old phone (the toggle doesn't work).

    I am planning to give my old device away, but this is giving me concerns that the other device may still be able to access or influence my Yahoo email account.

    Seems, this problem is known at least since 2021 and yahoo is doing nothing about it. Problem is that I cannot delete the old recovery emails (at service that I don't have access to). Message I see:

    I have 2 way verification when i log to my email.

    I tried to disable but it turning itself ON from Security>VERIFICATION METHODS>Device Notifications>Manage device notifications

    I don't have IPHONE 14, maybe someone is hacking me? I saw my recent activity and an iPhone 14 logged to my email.
