Sorting/sections by date
The new format is hard to look at. I liked the old version where there was some separation between newer and older emails, and it grouped them by date/year. My inbox now just looks like a jumbled mess and it's hard to find things.

Add an option to *not* display the first part of every message in the subject line in mailbox view.
The subject and the first part of the text visually run together into an endless monster subject line. If the first part of the text display in the mailbox view can't be turned off, I would also accept adding a blank block to visually separate the subject text and the body text.

Put back the day/yesterday/last week/month headers
As stated, Put back the day/yesterday/last week/month headers. Why on earth would you remove that feature? It doesn't impede the larger ad space that the developers were seeking, The inbox just looks like a cluttered mess and it's harder to differentiate recent emails. It was so much easier to look at a weeks worth of emails and see yesterday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, last week etc..

allow more email subject lines to be viewed on single screen
Keep visual density of basic mail; update disrupts workflow and requires more scrolling to see full inbox. Very unhappy with update.

STOP MAKING IT SO DIFFUCULT TO GET INTO BODY OF EMAILS
Because you changed something about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks ago, this Yahoo is VERY DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE. Issue retrieving previous parts of emails and keeps deleting emails and putting emails into spam that are NOT SPAM.
& your yahooscout is stupid and has no business viewing emails and putting it into its own words. WRONG. Let me do my work without your bad help

Handling of Spam emails with my created Filter
I would like Yahoo designated Spam emails to go through my created Filter prior depositing them in my Spam folder. The filters (2 of them) I've created will detect explicit pornographic emails for immediate deleting, or going to my created folder for deleting all without opening the folder.
If Yahoo is correct about the Spam designation and these specific emails also meet my Filter criteria, all is good - they're processed as I want them handled.
If Yahoo is incorrect about the Spam designation, but they don't meet my Filter designations, then they go to Spam for my review later… -

expand message preview icons
Please show "Archive" in the list of message preview icons.
In the older versions of Yahoo Mail I could simply click the Archive icon to archive a message. With the new version I have to click twice by either clicking 'more' in the preview window and then 'archive'; or I can highlight the message in the list view and click archive.
I archive most of my emails and only delete temporary emails like PIN code authentication emails.
The message icons at the top of the preview window should be expanded because the icons only go across 1/3 of the window.…

Make inbox screen bigger
Make more room for what is utilized the most- the inbox messages. Make the menu smaller on the left side. Also make the folders all aligned up on the left with an "expand" option so we can move things to that folder with more ease.

Refresh/Send Receive
When trying to refresh my inbox to send/receive, the page just freezes and often goes to an error screen. The refresh does not happen automatically often.
I have a short cut on my Google home page, but often, I can't get that short cut to work to go directly to my mail box, I receive the same error screen when trying to refresh my inbox.

Fix it to work as it was before Friday afternoon
Why am I having to double click before I can view my email in the right hand panel now since Friday? First I couldn’t access yahoo mail as it wouldn’t load. Now I can access it but had to reset settings to get it to look how I’m used to, but now have this double clicking issue instead of the email showing on the first click as it used to.

Please, include an option to view and add the subject line for my mail boxes. I don't like the AI summary only.

Needs to have larger screen; I keep on opening mail when I want to delete it.

Highlight last read email
When trying to find specific email content scrolling through hundreds of emails and looking st each email is extremely time consuming. It is worse because when opening an email and then closing it there is no way to know where you are in the scrolling process. Could you just highlight the last email opened? Thanks.

one email address into 2 sections
would like to suggest if yahoo can break mail account is 20GB capacity.
into two section, email of 10 gb and storage of 10 gb likewise the google drive and msn onedrive.able to upload files direct to storage folder instead using email attachments files, hvg option to delete,copy, email, and et-cetera function.

It we select a custom date range of emails all should get selected automatically instead of scrolling for ever. Improve user interface

Moving Folders - Ability to move folders with sub folders
Currently, it is not possible to move folders with sub folders to another or new folder location. A user has to create a new subfolder in the location to move to then manually move the lowest level subfolder to the folder!
Time consuming, frustrating and hinders housekeeping of folders and emails.
