Reorganize the inbox

aesthetic before usability
I’ve been using Yahoo Mail for over 15 years, and I’ve always remained loyal. One of the features I loved most was the ability to choose themes, a small but pleasant touch. But that’s purely aesthetic. What really mattered was functionality, and unfortunately, that’s where the new version falls short.
Now it looks and feels too much like Gmail, which I never liked. One of the best things about the old Yahoo Mail was the tabbed view. You could open multiple emails, drafts, or your inbox in separate tabs and easily switch between them without losing content. Even with the…

Want to see all my email addresses at a glance - not in a popup
Don't like the new layout. It takes me twice as long to see whats in my inbox when I have to mouse over a pop up containing all my email addresses. It was much easier and convenient to have all my email addresses listed at the top so I could see how many emails I had at a glance. Additionally, you can no longer delete several emails at a time, and one at a time is a waste of time. Get rid of the AI **** and KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)

click inbox to refresh
In the new mail interface, I'd like to be able to click the "inbox" icon on the left nav and have it check for new mail and remain in the mail view I'm in. Currently if you click the "inbox" to check for new mail you are always reset back to the "priority" view. I need to do this for MFA tokens and the like, but they don't always end up in the "priority" tab. So I have to do one more step and switch back to the "all" view. I dislike the browser reload as I feel like I'm…

Accessibility in dark theme (Web-browser): in the message list, make the selected message more visible
I am using Yahoo mail via Web-browser on a PC. In the dark theme, when I select a message from the list, it is marked with a narrow purple stripe on the right side. If there are lots of messages in the folder, it is hard to notice the selected message. I offer to make the whole background light-purple for the selected list item.

Show all Mailboxes
List all mailboxes under the navigation area in the desktop browser app. I need to see an overview of all mailboxes and the amount of new emails in each box, like the left panel was previously. The navigation of selecting each mailbox individually to view is clunky, and a annoyance. I have over 10 mailboxes connected and this new layout is very inconvenient. Even a tab in the Right panel would work.

Cannot be done because of restriction on Yahoo part.
It is impossible to navigate between Yahoo while a search from another folder is taking place. Not even a split page is in place. The information that is being sort is for purpose of completing a request so that a report sorted can be seen.

sorted by sender
When I have the "All" category sorted by sender for easy email management, it unsorts after I move a group of emails to a folder. Please make it so I return to the "all" category, sorted by sender as I had it.
Also, when you select email to move to a certain folder, can it default to having the cursor in the search field to find the folder quicker? It takes too many "clicks" to move emails to folders.

embed without comingling
thesis: embed everything strictly by tcp/ip without comingling
hyperthetical e.g.: have window to Signal (messaging app) in Yahoo interface

Include a logout link which is visible at all times
On my PC, the logout link is only visible for a short time after I refresh the page. So a simple attempt to logout becomes a bizarre game of skill in which I need to click the logout link before it disappears. This is extremely annoying and pointless -- unless your goal is to make logging out difficult so you can better track users' browsing activities.

keyboard commands stop working
Website stops responding to up/down pgup/pgdn commands after you click a message. Those buttons become unresponsive and will not start working unless you use left/right to jump to another message and return.

NO MATCHING MESSAGES
What idiot thought it was a good idea to put NO MATCHING MESSAGES as a notice that your folder is empty?!?!?!??!?!?! IF my folder is empty have it read: FOLDER EMPTY . The phrase No Matching Messages just tells me that I need to do some more digging to find the messages I was wondering if I had. Can't think of a worse message than no matching messages, that denotes that I need to spend the next 2 hours looking for messages that DO match. I was thinking of switching my emails over to Yahoo plus but if you are…

inbox pages
Can we please go back to having "pages" of emails? I prefer it so I can manage the number of emails I have. Scrolling continuously to delete is annoying. I like to select all 50 (or whatever) on the page and then unselect the ones I want to keep, and repeat.

Why Make Things Difficult For Subscribers?
I've been a longtime paid subscriber to Yahoo. I was comfortable with the way things were, then the big change came about and everything I was used to with Yahoo went to ****! This "Unfortunately, if you do not see the "Go Back" button you cannot go back. We really hope you'll try the new experience!". I gave it a chance and it got even worse. Now when, after reading a message in one of my folders, I press the back button which used to take me back to that folder but now throws me all the way back to…

More folders on top of the left "folder bar"
Right now we have to go to the very bottom, find "..." to access "Unread", "Scheduled", "Archive", "Spam" and "Trash". Is there a way to move them up to be positioned with "Inbox", "Starred", "Sent" and "Drafts"?

2 AREAS to IMPROVE - Scroll the page + Unread/read switching is TERRIBLE
Der, I'm VERY FRUSTRATED from this new version. Using only Basic mail version as new Standard version is even more terrible. 2 main Areas you should IMPROVE !!!!
1) Not possible to scroll page with emails - need to click each page ( this is step 10-15 years back !!! )
2) Terrible switching of Unread /read messages - again step many years back !!!! Make one click circle as before !!!

Navigation
When using the Yahoo Mail Desktop experience, each new pages takes you to the top. It would be useful and less work to go to the next item when selecting the next page at the bottom of the one you're on.

Multiple issues with the update
it takes too long for the message to show that it has been read
It is too hard to tell which message you are reading
delete messages button in new location
mark message as unread was so much easier, now much harder to do
no button to get to Spam Folder. I OFTEN have emails go there even though they are not spam.
Attached message preview used to open next to the email, now it takes up the whole screen.
I prefer the old way.Messages are greyed out, but the message you are viewing is also grey.
I can't…
