Return side email unread count to the side and give an option to remove achievements
I will continue to send in the suggestion to once more let me see my unread email count without having to hover over something like it USED to be. I also need a way to turn off these challenges and streaks and achievements. I don't need to make a game out of my email, I just want to use my email effectively.
- Expand the left hand navigation and you'll see the under of Unread messages without hovering.
- Reminder to always check your Settings. You can disable Streaks by going to More > Your Streaks.

What happened to the sort by sender?
You can no longer sort by sender on in the inbox! The UI is horrible; please change it back to the old yahoo mail.
You can still sort by sender, we did not take this away. Just like the old version, you need to disable Conversation view under Settings. You cannot sort by sender when Conversation view is enabled. Once you disable, you'll see Sender Name as a sorting option.

stop points and challenges
i am an adult. make it easy to delete points and challenges. i find it insulting. frankly, it makes me take you as unserious. you guys are a joke
Yes, we launched a fun way to reward our users for reading and organizing your emails, but you do not have to participate (not forced). Friendly reminder to always check your Settings. You can disable Streaks by going to the three dots "..." in the left hand navigation and then Your Streaks. Thanks.

unread
where is the ability to filter by unread emails?
Again, expand the left hand navigation to see Unread under Inbox. If you do not want to expand the navigation, you will find Unread under "More" in the left hand side.

restore "select all" option
restore "select all" option
We do have the "select all" option. That functionality is still there. Just click on any checkbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can select all and then delete all.

Make Settings easier to find in New Yahoo Mail
The Settings option is very difficult to find because it is hidden under “More” at the bottom of the left sidebar. I searched for the familiar gear icon, zoomed out, and even tried another browser before discovering where Settings had been moved. Please provide a clearly visible Settings icon or label. Yahoo’s help instructions should also be updated to reflect the new location.
Hi Amy, thanks for your feedback. We currently have no plans to move "Settings" from it's current location. It's not used a lot hence where we put it. Most users go to their Settings once and never again return. It's usually when there's a change or an added feature, where the user goes to disable it.

New bling is not better bling
Reinstate the sort by sender - overall the new UI is not efficient!!!!
We still have sort by sender. We did not take that functionality away. Just like the old version, you can sort by sender once Conversation view is disabled. Once that's disabled, you will see Senders name as a sorting option. Thanks!

Allow a user to open an email in a new tab
As with the former, basic yahoo mail layout, being able to open an email in a new tab and have that tab open to that email persist even as the web browser closes and reopens is very useful, simple, and more accessible than tagging or moving emails between folders.
Yes, you can still do this. Friendly reminder to check your Settings. Multi-tasking tabs is under your Settings where you can still do this. Thanks!

Your new format doesn't let me sort by sender. Please bring that back ASAP!
I want to be able to sort any folder, including the Inbox, by Sender or Subject to help me find a particular e-mail buried in a folder.
Hi Bob, you can still sort by sender, but like the old version, you will need to disable Conversation view under your Settings. Once you disable Conversations, you will see Sender Name as a sorting option.

Three changes
I think the new Yahoo Mail is a step backward. Three changes that would help:
Make the "Archive" button accessible when looking at emails without having to first click the "..." button.
Provide color options to customize how Yahoo Mail looks.
Get rid of Streaks.
Hi Jim.
- Archive is not used a lot, therefore, we don't have it in a prime location. Our data shows "archive" is barely used in the old version. We are looking at ways to customize the icons based on your use case.
- Same, colors/themes were hardly used. Most of our users kept the default. So with low usage and high upkeep we decided to simplify our themes.
- You can disable Streaks. Go to "More" in the left hand navigation and then Your Streaks.
Thanks!

AI summaries tip is wrong
"Tips - Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off"
Stop confusing people there isn't an "AI features" option in settings on my account and I would not consent to AI scanning my emails.
We are not lying. Screenshot below:

The ability to sort by sender was removed?
The new look is AWFUL it reminds me of GMAIL which I HATE and it's why I had yahoo. Bring back the ability to The sort by sender. Sorting by date is USELESS!
HI Marianne, we encourage you to read the header of our Uservoice forum. There we provide tips and how to disable things. We also tell you how sort by sender. Please do read those as they are there to help you. Thanks!

Bring back folders to the left payne
In this new version I no longer see my folders on the left payne, unless I pop open the folder icon, then having to open each sub folder. This is inefficient. The old structure was better. The suggestion in the new ideas on keeping folders expanded does not work as described.
We encourage you to read at the top of the Uservoice header (forum). There we provide What’s New, Coming Soon and some Tips. There we mention how to expand and keep folders expanded. Definitely read those as we update them with useful information. Thanks!

bigger email viewing window
the smaller email view window is much harder to use, it needs to be bigger to view my emails
Friendly reminder to check your Settings. You can change the email view window and the writing window under your Settings. Thanks!

I don't need to see star, contacts, settings, etc. permanently. Need options to not show. As a paying customer to yahoo mail plus, I want 3r
I don't need to see star, contacts, settings, etc. permanently. Need options to not show.
As a paying customer to yahoo mail plus, I want 3rd column to be optional. Thanks for the feedback! Yes, if you are a Yahoo Mail Plus subscriber, you can certainly minimize or hide that right hand rail. Remember, Yahoo Mail Plus is account specific.. so only the account you made the purchase from can do this, not the linked accounts. Thanks!

open email in new tab
Please restore the ability open an email in a new tab. In the old yahoo mail I could do this by just clicking on emails I wanted to open with the middle button (scroll wheel), it would open them all in new tabs and I could read, move and/or delete them much more efficiently than the new system.
Or allow me to go back to the old yahoo mail, for some reason that's no longer an option.Hi John, can you still open an email in another tab so you can multi-task. Just go to the "..." (three dots) > Settings > Appearance > Multi-Tasking Tabs. Hope this helps!

We need to see all of our mailboxes on the left
We need to be able to see all of our mailboxes on the left by default like before. So we can see if we have a new message in any of them without having to navigate around the setting to then manually open and view each and every account. This new layout is terrible because of this one issue.
Hi Jenna, yes, you can still do this. In the bottom, left hand corner, if you hover with your mouse, you will see all your accounts/mailboxes and the unread count in purple. Thanks!

Marking an email with the star
I used to be able to star an email from the email list. Now I have to click on the email to star it. No Good.
Hi Wayne, you can star an email without opening the email. Looking at your Inbox, just hover your mouse over to the right hand side and you'll see some icons appear, one of them being the Star icon. Hope this helps!

Old; one box to click to check all new emails and then a box to mark as read. New; no way to check all the emails.
Most of us aren't going to click each email box so we can mark as read, or trash etc. You need to put the Check all box right at the top. And then options to Mark as Read, Trash, Spam etc.
Yes, once you click on one checkbox, a new one will appear at the very top. From there you can Select All and either Delete All or even mark as unread. Thanks!

Return the old interface - at least the PHOTOS option
I hate the new interface. Where is the"Photos" option so I can quickly see all photo attachments?
Hi there, yes it's a little different on how to do this, but you can still search by emails with photos. Looking at your Inbox, go to your Search box at the very top. You'll see the advanced search icon to the right. From there you can choose Photos and it will search only emails with Photos. Thanks!
