Current Open Email Indicator Bar
When i am reading my emails with my inbox or folder on the left and the email on the right of the screen, the only indicator on the left in the list of emails of which one I am currently reading is a small, slim purple bar on the right of the email subject and first line card. This little purple bar gets partially covered by the scroll up and down bar when not hovering over it and is completely covered by it if you start using the scroll bar. My preference would be that you make the purple bar…

BUG: Issue with Attachment Viewer
When pre-viewing an attachment on an email with multiple attachments, ability to select a file from the dropdown is great; allows the user to quickly select a particular file.
However, when I wanted to go back to the email, for each of those selected files, I need to click the "X" on the top right. If I viewed 3 files, using the dropdown to switch between them, I have to click "X" on top right 3 times.
The UX should be that a single click on "X" closes the attachment previews and goes back to the email.

A few usability suggestions
Great new design, I like it. There are a few things that I think could be improved:
Ads look the same as new emails so its hard to see how many emails you haven't checked - good for ads click through, not so great for user experience.
The inbox icon doesn't show the number of unread emails which is a bit odd.
The inbox default to Priority not All even if you haven't set the priority emails.

adblocker
I do not use ad blocker, yet I am told to turn it off. Fix your code, yahoo.

When you hover over the list of mails with your cursor it would be nice to have a pop up like effect
In the simple way i think is something like a pop up hover effect like the tailwind code "hover:scale-105"
I think it's gonna be a small but huge improvement of the ui/ux

Hovering mouse over folder name in message list shows full folder name
When you search for all messages from a specific sender, there is a column that indicates the folder in which the message is found. If that folder name is too long it is truncated with an ellipsis. If I hove my mouse over the folder name, a tooltip should appears to show me the full folder name.

Some important functions disappear at certain levels of screen zoom
Because of my eyesight, I often increase the zoom on my screen. In this new design, certain essential buttons disappear "below the fold" and require either a scroll or even resizing the zoom level so it appears. This includes the list of MAILBOXES at bottom left and also the SEND button when composing a message.
These crucial functions should either be moved up to the upper part of the display or remain durable at the bottom of the screen regardless of the level of zoom. Or at least allow the left panel and the overall page to be scrollable so…

Upper part Search area space
The upper part Search area space and the menu bar space take up too thick area, almost one fourth of the page, if preview is open, the space for the mail is limited. It is barely workable with a desktop, for small notebooks, the screen size can hardly accommodate the mail area when upper and lower parts largely occupy the page

Provide a way to indicate that a mail item should be under a different tab
I see Social mail items when viewing the Primary tab. I only want to see them under the All or Social tab, not under Primary. Please provide a way to indicate that any mail items from the sender's address be moved to a specified tab.

Restore folder list, restore "Archive/Done" button, restore previous "new" Yahoo Mail
Three issues that still exist with the new Yahoo Mail interface on a laptop:
(1) Folders still are not listed. I spend more time reading and searching email than writing email. I used to be able to see if I had new email in a folder. Having the folders another click (and scroll) away makes it significantly less pleasant to use Yahoo Mail. There are no "double arrows" for folders in the new interface as documented by Yahoo. Please list the folders again, or at least make a setting so that users can choose to have them listed.
(2) When… -
Email Accounts Should Be At Top of Sidebar
The user's account is currently located at the bottom of email navigation bar. It should be at the top to make it easier to switch between email accounts.

Side Bar Width Can't Be Changed
The email side bar can be minimized or restored BUT in the Restore mode folder names get truncated as one cannot make the width of the side bar wider. Allow making the side bar wider so entire folder's name is visible.

Bring back showing each email account
Bring back the sidebar showing each email account on Yahoo. With the new version, one has to click on My Account and then select each email account to view. Before, each email account was shown on the sidebar and would show how many unread emails in each account.

For mail filters, reinstate Inbox as a folder for destination
For mail filters, reinstate Inbox as a folder for destination. This lets me be certain that some emails do not go to the Junk or Spam folder. I know you say that all I have to do is mark the email as not spam, but that doesn't work all the time. I've missed very important emails because several came through, but the most important one wound up in Junk. Please help me prevent this, just like I used to be able to do.

Highlight selected email
It would be helpful to differentiate the email I'm currently on much like it's easy to differentiate between Read and Unread emails. The new version puts a small sliver of my theme color next to the email I have open but it's too easy to miss it in the list of emails as you scroll through them.

All previous folders are missing in web view
Folders are missing, I have a lot of them. Not sure why they're not visible on web, but are visible on phone app.

Your folder system is the worst!
Tru=ying to save an e-mail from teh inbox to a folder is a nightmare. I just lost an e-mail because it went somewhere. Can't drop and drag and when I try to get to the subfolder it won't let me. Just junk. Used to be easy.

1) Show the latest emails on top when it is part of previous email string or response. 2) The attchements get disappeared during when I send
I am your paid customer and have been using Yahoo Mail since 1993, but your service need attention which is not User friendly now.
1) How do you see the latest email on TOP, so your customers don't have to spend time scrolling down? This should be logical, but your email keeps the OLD on top which is annoying.
2) My attachment disappears after I respond to the original email. This is also annoying and waste my time.
Previous version of your Yahoo Mail did not have these problems.
