Group by date
Please Please Please - I appreciate that we can use the sorting feature to have the newest at the top or prioirty etc. BUT i still would like the ability to group by date: last week, last month, last year etc.

Too much cognitive overload, not enough personalization preferences
1) be able to disable the logo avatars next to emails, this is unnecessary visual noise and makes scanning the inbox for a senders name difficult
2) when selecting an email I would prefer a split screen view (much like you see in desktop clients) so that users can stay oriented to where they are vs moving to a full screen take over.. too many clicks and friction to read and interact with message
3) option to hide pre-headers. The subject line is typically enough to understand the email content. The additional preheader also add cognitive load, complicates the inbox…

Read email
With the latest update, or a bug, I'm not sure, all the emails are highlighted exactly the same, the only difference between a read and un-read one is the small blue bullet point in front of it.
Before, or when it was working properly, the read emails were not highlighted, but left on a black/white background (depending on the theme used, I use only dark theme), while the un-read ones were highlighted with a whiter black -
PLEASE GET RID OF THE HIDDEN HOVER UNSUBSCRIBE BUTTON!!!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get rid of the hovering "Unsubscribe" button that ONLY shows up when hovering over the title of an email in the list of emails to select and read. It is way too easy for someone to accidentally click on the "Unsubscribe" hidden button when just reaching to point and click on an email title because the hidden button is not visible when moving the pointer quickly over the email title. Also, there is no way to undo this "Unsubscribe" function. This is a terrible feature for email as it is can be too easily accidentally triggered.

UI clarity for unread/read emails
The change made yesterday makes it much more difficult to tell which emails are read or unread now. Please change it to be something similar to before where unread emails are significantly lighter, highlighted on their entire square, and read emails are darker. a small blue circle is not sufficient.

external mail boxes
I access many other external mailboxes through my Yahoo mail account (Gmail, AOL, etc.) In the old Yahoo mail layout I am able to see all of those mailboxes and if there is new messages in each box. In the new one I have to hover my mouse over the main box at the bottom in order to see this. I like the old layout better for this reason.

Move back to the "Sent" folder
I accidentally moved several messages from the "Sent" folder to another folder.
Now, there no option to move them back to the "Sent" folder.
Please add this as an option.

Make avatars/icons optional in inbox
Hi. I find the avatars/icons to be like clutter. Please find a way to have them removed from view for those of us who don't like to see them.

Bring back the select all button
I do not understand why you hid the button to select all emails until I select one email. Only then am I able to navigate up to the drop-down and select multiple emails (unread, read, etc). Why? This is inefficent forcing me to navigate down to my inbox to then navigate up to the select tool.

Change folder access
Please move your folders back to a drop down menu. It is easier to move emails to folders the old way.

Starred
I want "Starred" to appear on the left menu bar. Of the items there, I click on "trash" the least so I'd suggest you replace "trash" with "starred" and move it to the slot second from the top. Starred means you need to reference it, so it's important. Give it an important position in the menu bar.

Choose folders in left bar
Hi, I dont want to see folders that I dont use such as Archive, Starred, Unread and Scheduled.
They are taking too much space on the left bar and I cant see my folders that I use often.
It would be a good idea to be able to choose what to see.

How to get rid of search box on top of email menu
How to get rid of the search box that sits atop the menu for email (send, trash, arrows to navigate......all the things!)

You can move the "SEND" to the top of the email.
I biggest grip I have is having to scroll to the bottom of an email or several threads of emails to get to the send tab. It would be so much for convenient to have the "SEND" tab on the top of the email.

Please put the spam folder back where it is visible. It's annoying having to go all the way to the "..." at the bottom.

Notifications never
I was reading an email in Yahoo Mail, and was suddenly violated by a full-screen popup asking me to activate notifications. I do not want notifications and never will.
The popup has options "yes" and "maybe later", but none for "no", and none for "please send all product managers who add a 'maybe later' button directly to ****, where they belong".
If I receive another such popup with a "maybe later" button, I will stop using Yahoo Mail and delete my account. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Need to refresh the Inbox without reloading the entire webpage
Using the desktop website page, there obviously needs to be a way to refresh my Inbox view without reloading the entire Yahoo website. But there is none. Just add a Refresh button somewhere (preferably without having to go through a menu to get to it). This is a very common need.

unsubscribe button
While the UNSUBSCRIBE button is a nice idea, it tends to cover the "subject" message and pops- up and activates while user trying to see what the messages are before opening. Also it does NOT work with ALL ads/subscription with membership sign up. IE Blains Farm and Fleet one example as I was reviewing inbox while typing this.

Un-collapsing folders permanently
I would like the folders to stay un-collapsed when I click on the arrow. I don't like having to un-collapse them every time I open my account. It's annoying.

I need to turn off (disable) keyboard shortcuts. They are really irritating.
