Frequent Yahoo Mail Search Errors
Over the last ~6 months, I am frequently encountering performance errors (e.g., "An error occurred while trying to fetch the items in this list. Retry." for Starred items); inability to load email content on older messages; grinding slow/no results when trying to page back in Inbox or Sent mail folders for messages only a few months old. These issues are becoming so constant that I am using other email accounts for more reliable communication. What's going on with your backend Yahoo?! John

SEARCH like I could in the older version on Yahoo. The Yahoo I had in February.
When I search my IN Boc, I get results from emails that already in Folders. I want to be able to search like I could in the February version of Yahoo. I could search by IN BOX or SENT or by FOLDER.

Mail Advanced Search Does not Search Name Adequately

Your advanced search form in Mail should search by rendered name in order to help users bulk identify spam.
I am receiving a lot of spam from addresses encoded like this:
From: =?UTF-8?B?86CBvU5h86CBvfOggb1086CBvfOggb3zoIG9afOggb1v86CBvfOggb3zoIG986CBvfOggb1u86CBvfOggb3zoIG9YfOggb1sRGVi86CBvfOggb10UvOggb1l86CBvfOggb1s86CBvWnzoIG9ZWbzoIG9LmNv86CBvfOggb1t86CBvfOggb4=?= zxtxlaluqr@gaviner.comMany of them will display with the same name in the From, such as "NationalDebtRelief.com". You cannot search for these and mark them all as spam because the "NationalDebtRelief" as a search term gets no results due to the encoding.
In any case, a From address like this should be a huge red flare for your spam filter. Why do users even have to mark…

Correct email search
This issue does not have a listed category. I don't where else to discuss this issue.
I have just deleted two emails from an individual I view often. I do a search to review one of the emails and all I get is two emails from May and June. Why not the rest of them? I do a visual scan in trash and I locate the desired email. This not the first such incident. What am i doing wrong -
the location of the search box makes it hard to delete or move emails. Why can't the search box be moved?
The search box is placed right over the icons to delete, move, etc. The only way I can delete old mail is to reduce my screen to 80%. I am a senior citizen and I can hardly read it at 80%. I have been unable to move or change the location of the search box, and it interferes with my ability to delete mail. Since you are changing the policy of how many GBs we can have, why have you made it so hard to delete old mail without having to reduce the script size?

Improve search and move features
I feel like the search was downgraded in the new mail. There are less filters in the search bar and it seems to be more difficult to search by a sender than it was previously. Why not put the search option in the menu that appears when you hit control click? I'd rather have that than the "view raw message" option...that seems completely useless to me. Same with moving emails to folders, I feel like that was downgraded too. Maybe the expectation is that AI will sort emails for us, but I already didn't like how I wasn't seeing things…

sort by subject
I really miss the ability to sort the e-mails in my box by subject (re: line). I get a lot from the same person, on many different topics. So when I want to clean up what I don't need, sorting by sender doesn't help if I can't sort by the subject line.

Advanced searches for messages in New Yahoo Mail no longer have the ability to filter to only the Inbox. Can you bring that back?

double spacing instead of single spacing
This is still related to composing email having extra spaces between lines. It looks like double-spacing between lines on email -- when you get to the end of the line, the email goes to the next line but has extra space between the 2 lines. I've tried all the fonts possible. I'm thinking maybe the new yahoo email adds extra space either before or after a line. When I'm in a Word document, I select paragraph 'single, no space before and no space after. That is perfect. unread options do no allow for bulk actions, they either contain all read inbox messages or all unread sent messages
Your two unread options are now very confusing. Selecting for unread in the main view shows even the read emails from the inbox. Adding the required two extra mouse strokes to get to the "unread" folder under the 3 dots now also includes every unread "sent" email that I've accumulated from at least the last 10 years and who knows what else further down the view and cannot do a bulk "mark as read" but have to singly select all of the new ones, instead of unselect the specific ones that aren't junk that I need to read.

Being able to narrow the search tool to specific folders like the inbox
Bring back the search feature, which allows you to narrow your search to just the inbox, instead of all the folders. Much easier and quicker than having to search through files that have already been moved to specific folders.
