WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. Search by Subject & Folder

    I use Mail search almost everyday and the old Yahoo mail let me search by subject and folder. folder search is now gone in the new version. How do I switch back or get this daily used feature back ASAP?

  2. Search in specific folder

    I used emails in a specific folder not the whole mailbox. It'll be nice to have that feature again. Thank you

  4. Keep inbox in the same place it was when you opened a search window

    When you close a search window, please bring the user back to wherever in their inbox they initiated the search, rather than the top of their inbox. It is very frustrating when you are, for example, 100 messages into your inbox, click search, then close the search window and end up at the top of your inbox and you have to scroll back to where you want to be. The previous version of Yahoo brought you back to where you were in your inbox when you initiated the search, not to the top of your inbox.

  5. where is the feature in the advance search to search in the body of the email

    with this new update we lost the ability to search in the body of the emails
    i need this functionality for retrieving information to feed an international criminal case that spans over 7 years
    search is the title in not enough
    i used to search with boolean operator where any keyword could appear
    please let me know how i can search within the body of emails

  6. Email Search doesn't work for email older than approximately 9 years

    Email Search doesn't work for email older than approximately 9 years - this has been a persistent problem that last for a long time, I'm just flagging it now as I was hoping it would be fixed with the new UI. It just doesn't work. For example, I can see email from "Kaggle" if I manually scroll to 2016 of before hand. If I search Kaggle onyl email up to October 2017 are shown though.

    Hi Alessandro, thanks for letting us know. We tried replicating the issue and couldn't. All our older emails showed up in search. Can you please send us a video of this happening to oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com? Then provide browser and browser version? Thank you!
