SEARCH IN BODY OF EMAIL
SEARCH IN BODY OF EMAIL... IIRC, the old Yahoo Mail allowed you to search not just for words in the title, but also in the body of the email. The new Yahoo email appears to only allow searching for words in the title of the email.
Can we go back to the old way? -
Search box
It should have just a standard search box, with search by attachment or search by name or search by date you know basic stuff. I hate it when improvements are not actually improvements. Searching by hoovering over someone's name is only helpful if I can actually find the stupid email first. If you have a search box like this it's **** hard to find, I still don't see it so that's no good either.

Hide cards on search results
When searching for older emails, "cards" related to delivered items that match that search results appear on top, so that the area where I actually see the search results is so small it's very difficult to navigate. How can I remove those cards?

Search keeps hanging up around Sept. 2025
Whenever I search for mail in new yahoo mail, it seems to always hang up around Sept. 2025. It just shows a spinning wheel. Has been happening since I switched to new mail. I'm on a fast win 11 pc with tons of memory, fast 16 core cpu, 1 gigabit comcast internet. The problem is not at my end. What is the problem?

Improvement to search feature
When you close a search window, please bring the user back to wherever in their inbox they initiated the search, rather than the top of their inbox. It is very frustrating when you are, for example, 100 messages into your inbox, click search, then close the search window and end up at the top of your inbox and you have to scroll back to where you want to be. The previous version of Yahoo brought you back to where you were in your inbox when you initiated the search, not to the top of your inbox.

Add filter to search function
There needs to be a filter to only pull similar emails that have NOT been filed to a folder.
Right now, when you click the magnifying glass to search emails from the same sender, you cannot filter to only show what has not been filed yet (inbox or archive). This slows down the review process significantly when there are many emails to sort through.
I do not care about what has already been filed, or even about emails that I sent. Currently it brings in all emails (inbox, archive, filed, and sent) and I suspect it also brings in ones…

Make search more user-friendly
When you close a search window, please bring the user back to wherever in their inbox they initiated the search, rather than the top of their inbox. Fix the folder search operation (for Google Chrome)
When I want to file an email in a folder and select the option to move, I usually have to then start typing the name of the folder where I want to file it. If I don't type quickly enough, it "hangs" on the first letter I've typed for what seems like a long time (20-30 seconds??) which is very annoying. I'm using Chrome as my browser. It doesn't seem to do it in Edge, but I really need Chrome to work. This has been true ever since the new yahoo email came out and I thought it would get…

There is an ongoing bug with new Yahoo Mail where signing in freezes the page, Freezing the page also happens when switching accounts. This was an issue a few days ago. It got fixed temporarily and now it's back again (March 15, 2025) This happens regardless of browser being used.

unsubscribe popup
Unsubscribe popup when trying to clean up emails. When using the search glass to choose all emails by a sender, list populates, then the unsubscribe icon pops up and blocks the summary of the email. This is annoying. Please remove or relocate.

search
Search used to work better. There should be a way to search for a phrase (as opposed to each word independently). What is the trick? And/or I want only the email that has ALL of the words in my search.

Search for words within the message content
For your free Yahoo Mail version, consider adding search filters to search for words within the body of the message.
This valuable feature existed in the previous version; in the current version, you can only search for words within the subject line, which is usually too short, so the results are unpredictable. Thanks in advance -
