TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Terrible new yahoo mail and the old classic is completely unusable

    All of the above, please bring back the old classic version, it has been working so well for so long, the new yahoo is unbearable, and I was pleased to see I could at least go back to the classic old version, but now that looks tiny, you can’t hit the delete without hitting unread or just highlighting the email. This is frustrating and so time consuming to delete five emails and yesterday 35 emails, completely has lost the ability of efficiency. so much negative reviews all stating the same issues.     Hi there, we didn't fix anything! The functionality is still the same, we just gave the Desktop a bit of a facelift after almost 10 years of no change. There is no reverting back, very sorry. We are EOLing the old version. We hope you give the new layout a fair chance. Thank you!

  4. Search and Folder Stogare

    It is good have a good search for old emails and also provide a option to space occupied by each folder. So that it will be easy to clean up mail box.

    For exp: sent folder has so many old emails. would like to sort them out by space or year.. so that it will be easy to delete.

  5. increase blocked email addresses allowance

    give users the ability to block more than 1000 emails. spam emails are sent everyday, we need more options to keep our inboxes clean. Lock it behind a paywall, I don't care.

  6. Search by sender in the inbox, not the search bar.

    I want to use as little movements of mouse and keystrokes to search. At the right of an email in the (More...) area you could search emails by sender yesterday, August 13, 2025. It has now changed to search by subject line. Why would anyone want to search by subject line? Bring back the search by sender! Prior to either of these changes, the search button was just right there on the left side of the sender.

  7. Refresh Inbox

    Would be very helpful if you added a refresh option/icon on the header. that way we can check for new email without having to reload the entire page.
