Mention or tag someone
The function to mention or tag someone is not working, when you use "@" followed of a name or email, you should be able to choose the email or person you need to tag, but right now is not working. Or maybe you need to activate it somehow?

email addresses during composing
When composing an email, typing in the name of a recipient, your listed contact name pops up along with any similar name of previous received senders not in your contact list.
You used to be able to hover to the right of the "unwanted" names, an X would pop up and you could delete the excess contacts.
We are no longer able to do that and would appreciate the return of the feature. It helps clear up clutter and unnecessary addresses, and it makes finding the right recipient easier.
Please consider bring this feature back. Thank you. -
Add function
Please reinstate the ability to select which attachments to forward on new Yahoo Mail. Currently it's all or nothing. And I need to be able to choose such attachments to forward. Thank you.

edit subject in draft
When composing an email, if I click in the text field without first typing in the Subject field, I am unable to go back and edit the Subject Field. The only workaround that I've found is to make a change in the To field first, then it lets you edit Subject. This is annoying.

do not make links jump to the beginning of a message. Please leave it in my text where I paste it!! So weird!!

Ctrl+Shift+V
In Chrome browser on a Windows laptop, Ctrl+Shift+V usually means "paste as plain text" but when I use that in Yahoo! mail it actually sends the email (prematurely) with no way to call it back. Please make Ctrl+Shift+V paste text instead of sending the email.

Found a bug with Compose
Love that you launched the divided screen (left nav | msg list | msg read) - yay!!!
But I found a serious bug: start to compose a message, then navigate to the message by clicking "Drafts" and continue to edit the body. After a minute or two, suddenly the keyboard focus jumps from the composition window to the msg list window. If you don't notice, then all of your typing is interpreted as keyboard shortcuts. I've had my draft completed deleted because I hit the backspace/delete key to edit my draft - not good!

Dark mode for composing/reading messages
It would be nice for the email message itself to be dark. It is very ******* humans to stare at LED white color. I'm in my email a lot and this feature would be amazing.

delete suggested contacts
I keep getting suggested contact names for "To" that are no longer in my contacts. I would like to be able to remove them!

remove hide email contact auto suggestions
I want to be able to remove/hide contact auto-suggestions when I am composing an email. I get valid contact suggestions, as well as all the spam and other junk email senders. If I can no longer delete/hide them, can you at least stop the non-contact addresses from being added to the auto-suggest lists? Or, at least, restore the "X" button, so I can (again) hide/delete them from being suggested. Thank you. :-)

Reinstate ability to edit font
Reinstate the ability to edit font size to make it uniform, especially when you're copying text from a document to add to your e-mail. The inability to make the text uniform is going to make me go back to the old Yahoo.

Open emails on top of inbox
Please bring back the option to toggle between open emails at the top of the inbox. There are many times that I have to toggle between an open email to refer back and/or I have to leave one task to complete another. Having to go to the drafts folder is cumbersome.

composing impossible, text formatting at opposite end of long email thread
Because the reply function now scrolls my active reply out of view by placing the active cursor at the top of page view, I now have to compose my emails in a text editor. A new problem arises when I take my reply generated in a text editor, copy and paste and the text is too small and all wrong in the yahoo email format.
The new yahoo email does not provide a way to collapse a long email thread, requiring the reply box is at the top of the long thread, and all the text formatting options are removed… -
Remove Autofill Email Addresses When Composing
Hello!
Someone else suggested this idea in Jan. 2025. It was marked "reviewed" by Yahoo with no comments now allowed and no indication that Yahoo is going to take action on the suggestion. Here is it again.When trying to enter an email address when composing, Yahoo begins to autofill suggested addresses. It previously showed an "x" by each suggestion, which allowed me to eliminate it from showing up again.
