To echo this, I think that commissioners of private leagues should have the option to change requirements for their leagues. Like intuitively, if a guy makes 1 start as an SP, in real life, he has the capability of being an SP, so if I want to set the minimum starts required to 1 start, in MY LEAGUE, I should be able to do so.

Had a similar issue last night and it completely ruined the draft for us and might actually end up being the downfall of our league because certain managers got heated over the accidental picks, the entire remainder of the draft was ruined. Probably just lost 12 yahoo users over this 3 year old suggestion that has not been remedied

Absolutely agree 1000000%. In private leagues or non-money leagues fine. but in yahoo pro cash leagues, there is no reason to have any teams no-longer competing for $ be able to make any roster changes.

I agree wholeheartedly. If you are in a Private League or a Free league, then by all means, keep the consolation bracket, but in the Yahoo Pro leagues where a lot of $ is on the line, you can't have the competitive balance of the remaining playoff teams thrown off because some dude in 11th place exercises his waiver priority to add an important player.

Just like if you were the commissioner of a league and you saw a player who was eliminated from contention making adds and drops, you would lock them to avoid collusion and other issues that come along with teams that have nothing to play for making moves.

Imagine if a guy is in 10th place in a $250 yahoo league and decides, well I want to at least try to win the consolation bracket. And in his first round match decides to go all in on power and drops moderate steals guys like elvis andrus or dee gordon in favor of guys like Scott Schebler, while his logic makes sense for his team, now he has dropped a potentially playoff altering player. And although hes not blatantly dropping first round players, those are the kind of moves that do NOT add value to the experience for any of the other players competing for actual prizes.

Would be nice to see more customization to the settings already in place by yahoo.

    1) would be the ability to build custom categories. Would be as simple as adding in an operation like "x" or "/" or "+" so we can create our own statistics like ISO or 2B + 3B. or we can make up our own stats if we want. Runners stranded would be a nice category for RPs.

    2) Ability for commissioners to make more flexible Position eligibility requirements. The bottom line is that in real life, if a major league manager has enough confidence to put a player at a position even for one game, on a real-life level, that player HAS that eligibility to play there. So for example next year if a player only has 19 appearances at a position they wont have eligibility at it, but that it seems like an arbitrary number to choose whether or not a player can play there or not simply based on how often they are positioned there in real life. For example. Alex Bregman is a SS. He is revered as a better defensive SS than Correa, but Correa is a far worse 3B than he is at SS so they don't play him there. Bregman should still have SS "eligibility" given his ability and the fact that he started a handful of games there in Correa's absence.

    Absolutely!

This is the one thing that brings down my current keeper league. Some managers abuse streaming and while I understand that whatever it takes to win should be allowed, I feel as though streaming defeats the purpose of assembling a fantasy roster. even with acquisition limits.

having the option of Setting a max Pitchers or max total starts would be greatly beneficial

In addition, I think having a customizable schedule (2 weeks per round in playoffs or championship) would also be beneficial.

Would like the option of setting my H2H playoffs to have every matchup be two weeks long. Currently, The season goes 21 weeks and then 3 weeks of playoffs 22, 23 and 24 which is great but after a long season sometimes 1 week isn't enough to fairly decide a playoff especially with pitchers doubling and whatnot. Just like MLB Playoffs become 3 game series', maybe implement the option of setting regular season to be until week 20 and then have playoffs be 21-26 or something with 2 week matchups. This would eliminate 2 start pitchers as most every pitcher would make 3 starts and would also better reflect who's lineup performed better in that span. Helps for shortening the season and keeping managers interested as well as players on cold streaks or in bad ballpark matchups for the week don't kill your matchup as much because 2 week slumps out of stars are rare.

I agree on those wholeheartedly. I currently do a H2H Points league, because I hate putting value in players whose only contribution is steals, but I am trying to make a 7x7 league and I don't want all counting category stats on offense because that creates this offensive 'Streaming' where you are rewarded for plugging in steal monsters. I would like a ratio based category that isn't fueled by average. ISO would be the PERFECT category because now players like ketel marte who are really horrible are valuable because their ability to hit XBH's are muted. Also players who walk a lot and hit XBHs but not HRs are hurt by a standard 5x5 league. Please add ISO I think it would be great.
