Rosters - Combine 2-way players into one player
Requests to combine 2-way players such as Shohei Ohtani into one player.

Ohtani is the ONLY player seriously affected by this rule. If you make him a combined player with both hitting and pitching stats counting, then anytime a position player comes in to mop up pitching, the owner of that player should also get tagged with his pitching results if he was in the starting lineup as a hitter for that game. Ohtani is a freak and should be treated as such.

Should not be treated as 1 player. Are you going to UTIL start a pitcher? Are you doing to use pitcher innings to start an outfielder? Pitchers and batters have been separated. Othewise you're going to need to include defensive stats if we are going to talk real value of players and not just offensively.
Then, what if he pitches and bats same day? Do you get both pitcher stats and batting? OP much for Ohtani?
Pitchers in the NL used to bat and never received batting stats. Now a pitcher bats really well and people want batting stats attached to a pitcher. -

Ohtani should be treated as 1 player -- eligible at SP/DH.
This is now 6 years Ohtani has been a MLB SUPERSTAR, and Yahoo has failed to address this issue. It has been resolved on Fantrax and ESPN for several years.
And now, because of Yahoo's sudden unannounced removal of the message board feature... we are finally making plans to move to Fantrax after 22 years on Yahoo.

I agree. His true value is diminished by having him be two separate players. He should be the #1 pick every season.

Ohtani should be eligible at SP and DH. Surely this is a simple computer update!

long overdue - sad that we don't get to share in the excitement of a two-way star as fantasy managers

he should be one player. the only way to have the same value as in real life is that he takes up one slot. he is the best fantasy player by what he is in real life.. in your format it defeats the purpose of him using two slots on a roster. it should be changed to one slot for ohtani.. i have been playing fantasy baseball for over 20 years and im great at it. this needs to be changed for 2023

Make ohtaini one player that moves back and forth. It kills dynasty leagues we do

I agree there is one person, not two different people. There are others, not as good as Otanhi, but it is going to be more common. But only use him when playing him in a hitting or pitching role not both.
-
RocknRef commented
I agree. Players drafting Shohei should be able to use him in both hitting and pitching just like the Angels do.

Make him one player, a P/DH ... so absurd to draft him twice, and have to take up an extra roster spot. He should be the first overall pick in every league, and not a first rounder and 7th rounder.

You guys need to make this an option! Fix this!!! Make it so that a commissioner can decide on whether or not having 1 or 2 Ohtanis. Or just make it one player!
-

How is it that other sites are able to have Ohtani as single draftable player in fantasy but Yahoo doesn't have that capability? I know that Yahoo is a totally dated site but this makes absolutely no sense.

Having to draft Ohtani twice and take up two roster sports for one player is really silly. This needs to be adjusted so the person drafting him, gets him as a pitcher and DH.
-

PLEASE IN ALL THAT IS SACRED make Ohtani just 1 player in fantasy baseball. Why he is listed as a batter or pitcher makes zero sense.

It's incredible to me this hasn't happened yet. Only platform with this problem. I know all your money goes to daily fantasy now, but the fact he still 2 players makes Yahoo look like clowns

there should be a dh for guys like ohtani martinez cruz stanton and others players should be forced to play the position the play in mlb and ohtani should be 1 player a hitter and a pitcher

Really wish this was an option.

Having these guys as 2 individual players makes both of them worthless. How is a DH or 1st baseman who only hits 3 or 4 times/ week or a starter who only starts once every, 6, 7, 8 days b/c of the extra rest they get, valuable enough for a roster spot in any league, other than the super deep format?
As a single player, they would be much more valuable. I think this is much more of a value add than Dark mode for drafts and the ability to add images to chat. Neither of those things differentiate your platform or add any value to the UX.
This impacts the actual playability of the game. This does differentiate your platform, though not in a good way. You may as well just omit the 2 way players from the game.

It has been so much harder to find new managers with no community managers and I saw multiple people commenting this on your twitter feed along with still being upset that Ohtani is still not one player for dynasty leagues. You do realize it causes a headache to dynasty commissioners as most have to allow the Ohtani owner extra drop and adds or force him to just be a player short on his roster. Thank you.
