Dear Governor,
I have been trying for weeks to get you to release the remaining money awarded to Nevada unemployed from the Executive Order for Lost Wages Assistance back in September. DETR's mixed messages seem to show some sort of mismanagement of the funds that belong to the unemployed people of Nevada. All the state was to do was DISTRIBUTE THE MONEY. Since you applied for the money on September 11th (last state to apply-thanks a lot!), and the award was for the 6 weeks prior to that, you knew exactly how much money we needed to cover all 6 weeks. The DETR website states that the 6th week will not be paid to us without additional funding from FEMA. FEMA states that all states have received their 6 weeks of the grant. What have you done with our money? We know there is not any "additional funding" coming from FEMA. Nevada received the entire grant and we-the unemployed- have yet to receive week 6- $300.00.
I am attaching a picture I took of the DETR website the day after Thanksgiving. Please distribute the remaining $300.00 to the VERY NEEDY unemployed of Nevada. I'm starting to wonder if you stole from the poor to give to rich in this case. I saw the news announcing that you were able to access FEMA money for the 5 rich people of Caughlin Ranch when their houses burned and you called it a "state emergency" to give them FEMA money.

WHERE IS NEVADA'S 6TH WEEK-$300/each- OF LOST WAGES ASSISTANCE AWARDED TO THE UNEMPLOYED? WHY IS NEVADA THE ONLY STATE NOT TO PAY THEIR UNEMPLOYED WHAT WAS AWARDED TO THEM?

The unemployed folks of Nevada have been waiting for their Lost Wages Assistance money from Governor Sisolak for over 2 months. We keep getting mixed messages as to when, or if, we will get our 6th week. Here's the message on DETR (unemployment office) website: "As to the potential of the last week of assistance (week 6), unless FEMA approves additional funding to pay for a week 6, there will not be a payment for a week 6. DETR is currently waiting to hear back from FEMA.". I was on the phone with FEMA for 45 minutes to find out why the holdup. Turns out that Nevada has had the $423 million -enough to pay ALL 6 WEEKS- for awhile. So, why is Nevada's Governor trying to claim they need "additional funding" or it won't get paid out to us? WE ARE THE ONLY STATE STILL WAITING FOR OUR MONEY!!!
Nevada lost the 6th week of $300.00 relief awarded to each Nevada eligible unemployed through the Lost Wages Assistance grant from FEMA. After 4 months, they still haven't distributed the $60-70 million dollars ($300.00 to each unemployed person). That's hard for the Nevada poor unemployed who were robbed of $300.00 each.
