I would not have been happy if Yahoo had announced that they would continue to offer free fantasy baseball with a few features like the message boards stripped away. But then for a reasonable annual fee you would get the full featured product. I wouldn't have liked it but I'd have understood and would almost certainly have ponied up the money for the better service. But Yahoo has given us no such option. And no explanation for the change. Enormously frustrating.

Would someone from Yahoo please answer some of these questions? For example, instead of simply stating "Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season" could you please give a reason why? Some people are speculating that it's some sort of free speech issue as if the boards were filled with politically controversial stuff. Others are guessing that Yahoo is somehow going to save money by cutting the message boards. And there are folks wondering if this is part of some nefarious plan to raise traffic on Yahoo chat. So what was the rationale behind this decision?
