If this is being forced on users, mine as well give feedback to make it acceptable. The theme/layout is not even half baked, its awful. The thing separating read from unread emails, is a small purple dot on left. Color is no longer a choice. For reducing the colors available to the user, surprising how the colors used are so unfocused. If the difference between read and unread was a change in the overall color of each email item what would drastically change my understanding of what is already read. Isn't that the entire point of email?? Compact format of emails should not be called compact and renamed as large. Left icons are terribly distracting and takes away from users attention and ability to discern anything, that's where all the focus goes. If there's enough users giving negative feedback, that there are disclaimers about how frustrating the changes are, maybe it's not the users that is the issue. For perspective this new change doesn't even deserve a 1.5 start of 10; what happened?
