Yahoo Mail was pretty good the way it was--and I had the option of altering the background color or image. Mine was a comfortable dark teal. I know that Yahoo has "remodeled" the GUI for Yahoo Mail every few years since I first signed up in/around 1998 or so, despite your users in recent years begging you to stop screwing around with it. We just went through this a few years ago, and you wound up relenting and letting people keep the old version--or at least it looked like the old version. Now you've done it again. This latest version is godawful. It's either black or white, neither of which are pleasant. Maybe you'll eventually give us the ability to change the background again? Why not wait until the app is actually ready to go, rather than jam it down our throats half baked? I saw a note that you will soon let users change the font size. Again, what's your rush? You couldn't wait until that could be available with the fresh roll-out? You just had to do it now? This is why Yahoo long ago blew its early Internet dominance and become an afterthought, Mr. CEO Jim Lanzone.
I like it the way it was. You took a good thing and made it suck. Nice going.
