    I have a better solution. Each team selects one Alternate from their bench every week. If a QB, RB or WR is ruled OUT in the 1st quarter of their game, the alternate is subbed in. The alternate must be from a flex position (RB, WR, TE).

    The player must be ruled OUT (not questionable, but does not return), and it must occur in the 1st quarter. Think carted off, street clothes on the sideline, etc. Each manager could select the alternate every week, or if they don't make a selection, Yahoo would auto-select based on the highest projected point total of any one player on the bench.
