I'd appreciate a response, if possible.

I read my Yahoo Mail to find out who has commented on my comments.
There is a link in each email to the comment in question. That link takes me to the specific comment BUT immediately switches to the top of the comment section. Further, it compresses all the replies so that none of the "sub-comments" are visible. So, it becomes required to search through ALL the comments and open ALL the replies to locate the comment that I want to read and reply to.
Why can't it just be that when the link from the email points to the specific comment, it just stays there and opens the "Reply" pane to write in? You got there once, why immediately switch out of there. It is SO frustrating and in most cases make it pointless to try to respond to people. One of the main reason I read Yahoo News is that Comments feature. But it is difficult to the point of virtually impossible to utilize it to its full potential. Also, I read Yahoo News because it is usually neither too Left or too Right but offers opinions (???) from both sides.
This is very frustrating to me, also!!! I write comments, sometimes people comment on my comment and I want to reply to their comment. But, as stated above, the link to "Reply to ____" will return to that comment, even highlight it, but almost immediately navigates to the top of ALL comments. Even if I have time to click on that Reply button, it does this; sometimes even more immediately.
PLEASE fix this! You obviously have an algorithm to navigate to the particular, unique comment being sought. Why can't you just cause it to STAY THERE and OPEN THE [next] COMMENT BOX? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE.
