I think it’s ok the way you decided to use ohtani as two separate players, although espn using him as one player is a much better experience and actually reflective of his real life value. I think the decision to put the pitcher ohtani on the IL is out of bounds. The way you guys work with any other player is that the roster has to be submitted for a player to be listed on the IL. I don’t understand why you would make a subjective decision like this. The player is not on the IL. So you will activate him when he is making his first appearance? What if he goes another 2 weeks between appearances before pitching again, will you make another subjective decision? There is not another example of a player you would choose to put on the IL without them actually being on the IL. It leaves too much room for subjective decisions from yahoo. Roster decisions need to be based on the real world.
