Hello,
Our fantasy football league has proudly used Yahoo since 2001 — almost 25 years! As commissioner, the most consistent request I receive from league members involves the need for more flexibility in FAB waivers.
In another league, we use Sleeper, which offers options that would make Yahoo even better and more competitive. Specifically, we’d love to see:
Custom waiver or free-agent days (choose which days waivers run or are open FAs)
Custom waiver processing times (not limited to early Wednesday morning)
Multiple waiver clearings per week (e.g., Thursday 2 AM CDT or Sunday 4 AM CDT before early games)
Why this matters:
Prevents system gaming: Currently, managers can pick up and drop players (like TEs or QBs) late in the week to block others, forcing those players onto waivers until after game time.
Aligns with NFL injury reports: Injury news typically comes out on Wednesday, so midweek FAB runs would create fairer, more strategic bidding.
Boosts competition and flexibility: Multiple waiver runs (including early Sunday) would let managers adjust for late-breaking injuries and make the game more engaging.
Our group loves Yahoo and wants to keep our long-standing league here. Adding this feature would go a long way in keeping loyal leagues like ours from moving to other platforms.
I’m happy to share screenshots or more details if helpful.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Kyle
