Rather than fostering constructive debate, the current environment allows abusive language and spam to persist for days unchecked, while arbitrary moderation often penalizes genuine users over obvious trolls. To preserve a safe and engaging space for your readership, I strongly urge Yahoo News to enforce stricter automated and human moderation protocols, require stronger account verification to curb bot activity, and reform the comment sorting algorithm to highlight constructive dialogue over sensationalism.
