    there is no reason why goalies should not get points for goals/assists. If they score a goal or get an assist, it counts the same as goals/assists scored by forwards/defensemen. There is no difference. Igor Shesterkin provides immense value for the Rangers due to his ability to play the puck. He should be rewarded for that and earn points when he shows up on the scoresheet - just like any other player.
