Nearly 30 years of using this service, between 5 different accounts, I'd be willing to venture a guess that I've used Yahoo mail longer than some of your developers have been alive. Stop trying to fix something that isn't broken, not one person wants AI in their inbox, your "simplification" is just dumbing down features and hiding ones that used to be out front in the open. Yahoo the website has sucked for many years now and the mail was the company's only redeeming quality. If there is no way to switch back to the classic view you have had for a decade, which genuinely felt like an improvement when you released it, then I'm sundowning my usage and moving back to my own mail server. I'm tired of being made to feel like I'm being data harvested using your service, pumped full of ads, and not in control of the experience I have on your site, this is twice in several years you've tried changing Yahoo mail for the worst.
Just let us have the option to switch to basic mail and stay there. Seriously, stop trying to change Yahoo Mail. The fact you have to have a notice at the top of this page telling people they can't switch back means that people aren't happy with the new UI. Like, my emails aren't even 1/4 of the page when they're opened, it's a pain ********** to view my own messages. I want to meet whatever manager thought they needed to do this to make shareholders happy and slap them.
