Yahoo Fantasy Football regular season Tiebreaker rules are insane!
Scenario:
Final playoff spot in question:
Both teams have the SAME record.
Both teams have the exact SAME total season points.
Team A beat Team B in the only regular season matchup. However, Team B got the final playoff seed...because they scored more in the last game (against a random opponent)??
All other tiebreakers rules in the world look back at head to head matchup to see who gets higher seed.....except Yahoo!
Yahoo uses "whoever scored the most points in last weeks matchup". Meaning, the team with the highest score (against a random opponent), gets the higher seed.....totally ignoring the head to head loss vs the other team.
This is insane and complete and total lazy programming by Yahoo. Rather than actually using tiebreaker rules that the entire sports world uses, they choose to use an arbitrary number from a random game that means nothing!
At the very least, give the Commissioner the option of using tiebreaker rules that actually matter.
