I really do not like the new Yahoo Mail. So much so that I'm forced to stomach the reduced 'basic' version that used to be great!
Anyway, one thing that would make me switch --
Let each email, in the inbox view, be way more compact (like Gmail!!) so a single line of text is there - no white space, no icons, no images, no stupid different fonts - none of that useless garbage.
Why?
This way I can see way more mail in my inbox at initial load without having to either click a button at the top right corner of the screen to get top the next Yahoo-Mail-decided limit, or scroll (I'd prefer that, where it simply loads more mail as I scroll down).
This brings me to my next suggestion. Let the user decide in a Settings/Config just how many emails they want to see on initial load of the inbox. Some arbitrary amount may be fine for some, but I'd prefer to load the amount I want to load, not some number some product person decided 'this is good enough' that is shoved down the user's throat. I'd like 100 emails there, not 20, 25, or 50.
