    Because Yahoo is no longer an independent "news" site (if they ever were). Verizon Communications bought Yahoo for a mere five billion $. The CEO of Verizon retired at the end of 2018 and was replaced by Mr. Hans Vestberg, previously the CEO of Ericsson Cable, which he was outed from following poor financial results. They are trying to obtain more viewership and clicks on yahoo by putting out stories that will influence peoples political opinions and produce outrage.
