Having the ability to extend Playoff match ups in HTH leagues would be more in line with MLB seven game series and would statistically advantageous by mitigating performance over a longer period of time.

Terrible idea and not sure why? We have have an established dynasty league where our rules are unique and changes are hotly and opening debated on the message board. Having the discussion in front of everyone has proved successful for our league. As a Commish in a keeper league the early season is like herding cats sometimes and I find the Message Board critical to keeping everyone on track prior to the draft. We also use the message board to post trades made prior to our draft that are not done automatically by Yahoo. Just put it back! No one is in support of taking it away! So you got to ask yourself if none of the customers want you to eliminate it…why would I do it!
