Plagiarism In Yahoo! Article
The article, "10 Things You Never Knew About Disney’s Aladdin" by Mike P. Williams directly borrows from IMDB's trivia page on the same movie. It's almost, quite literally, like the content was copy-and-pasted with the words subsequently changed around. For example, from the IMDB page:
"Originally, the peddler who introduces the movie would be revealed to be the Genie at the end - hence the fact that Robin Williams voiced him, too. Notice the similarities in the design of the two, especially the eyebrows, the beard, and the four-fingered hands. (All the other human characters have five fingers.)"
And from Mike P. Williams' article:
"Remember the peddler we see right at the beginning who introduces us to the movie world of Aladdin? Well, he was originally meant to be Genie as it was also voiced by the late Robin Williams. There were plenty of similarities between the two; notably the eyebrows, beard, and four-fingered hands."
It would be rather unfortunate if the living Mr. Williams was being paid for something that a trained pigeon could've done with the same level of skill. Mind you, too, that lifting from the IMDB trivia pages is probably worse than copying from Wikipedia. At least the latter requires editors to source statements of fact.
