Yahoo, what happened to your news?
I remember a time when I could go to the Yahoo home page and find real news stories. Now, it's a jumble of stories mixed with several sites that want to show people 20 things they didn't know about history, or some other nonsensical trivial list of "WTF" things we supposedly never knew--all the while never leaving us with the expression of "WTF?" Yes, they are tantalizing: We want to click on those links in hopes of discovering that one piece of information that will complete our lives but then we leave with such a heavy feeling of disappointment and we wonder why we ever looked at such things and question why they are even on our page to begin with. So my feature suggestion is this: How about you just stick to putting up real news stories and leave the other stuff wherever you found it out there in the internet. Let the trash of the internet be just that: The trash of the internet. Trash has no place on my Yahoo page. There are plenty of worthwhile news reports out there that could be placed on your home page. Let those other websites like Excite and AOL...let them keep the trash over there where it belongs. Yahoo, you have a reputation to uphold. Let's get back to where you belong.
