To Megan Liberman.
Dear Megan,
As editor in chief for yahoo news, I would assume that content displayed on the news page on yahoo falls under your jurisdiction. Hopefully this message might open your eyes as to what I am seeing under "news". As a yahoo user, I like to use yahoo as a source for news. However as of late, all I see on yahoo news, is more or less.."entertainment" news. After seeing a lot of hype about "fake news" I would appreciate it if you actually took a look at the latest news feeds classified under the "news" category. There are so many ads from various partners there it's hard to distinguish the actual news, from entertainment news or other categories. In particular...recently, I read an article about how President Obama talks about how he would have won a "hypothetical" election against president elect Donald Trump. This was actually classified as "news"...how is this not purely entertainment? Can you please explain this? I mean whether or not you agree with Obama or Trump, isn't it your job to determine, whether information presented is actual news or not? This particular article is helping to create division amongst people. I would encourage you to make the necessary steps in order to classify, and organize this section of yahoo. It seems very disorganized and almost biased...I am starting to lose hope for reliable news sourced from yahoo. I used to really enjoy the world news section of yahoo since I joined. I have used yahoo as a source for email and much more since the early 00's. It has never been like this...ads everywhere and the news section is becoming redundant...I don't want to walk away from yahoo. But if this doesn't change, I will. In addition, upon no actions taken on this subject, I will not endorse yahoo news to any of my friends or family as I have done in the past if I don't see a change. I'm sure I am not the only one who feels this way. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Dean76leap@yahoo.com
