A Block button
A block button to prevent other users from seeing your posts, going into your post history and continuously attacking you everywhere you go would be incredibly useful. The mute button stops you from seeing people's posts but it obviously doesn't stop others from seeing your posts and post history. People with ill will just goes through your post history and constantly attack you even after you mute them.
Cutting off interaction between two very hostile parties with a block button will save everyone a headache in the short and long term. It will also improve the article comments section tremendously.

I would like to request a block button as well. The little bit of control over our own content will go a long way. There are also quite a few people in the comments section that are not interested in thoughtful discourse. Some users apparently just find it amusing to stalk other users for years on end.

I'm wondering why Yahoo doesn't already have a block button. This is a convenient feature offered by many other sites with reader commentary sections.

A feature like this is long overdue imo. I'm seeing quite a bit of stalking and petty bickering in the comments. Some people will never let things go.

This gives users a little bit more control over their own content which would be greatly appreciated. I can see myself going to Yahoo more for news articles with this improvement in the comments section. I think the article comments section already gives Yahoo News a massive advantage over other news sites that don't offer something similar. It will be even better with a block button.

There are many very angry people in the comments section of various Yahoo articles and I've seen people hold a grudge for many years. This block button would do wonders to alleviate toxicity and other unproductive comments. Maybe this can also serve as a deterrent against future abuses similar to Twitter's block button. Who wants to be blocked by everyone and end up talking to themselves after all?

This is a really good idea and absolutely needed asap in the comments section. Many other sites with comments sections have a block button for good reason. It works to prevent further abuses, trolling and other waste of time nonsense from the more persistent abusers. Please give us a block button for the comments section Yahoo.
