Yes please stop only allowing comments on certain articles. Everyone should be allowed to comment on every article.

Most of the comments here are a right-wing pile-on. Do you really think that only left-wing opinions are given? I agree about accurate disclosure and labelling, but it should apply to all parts of the political spectrum.

Keep publishing opinion pieces from all wings of the spectrum, but identify them as such: "Opinion". It's not hard!

I agree with George T. Plus dont "end" commenting on an article. That's how you create disinformation. By doing what nancy pelosi does and just ending debate on something when the conversation doesnt go her way. Then all of the incorrect information that's put out there on that article's comments can never be refuted. And while you're at it get a better system of commenting. The one you have now is slower than death.

in yahoo's "coverage" of the story about the forced reset triggers they titled the article "judge blocks sale of part that illegally turns guns into machine guns" and thats not what the FRT does. FRT, forces the semi automatic trigger forward so it has to be pulled again. The ATF issued a cease and desist order against the manufacturer citing that they had tested the trigger but provided no proof of such. Then when the manufacturer sued to get an injunction the ATF said that the judge should ignore the manufacturer's claims, evidence, and due process because they should be granted deference to change the legal definition to a machine gun at will. The ATF are not congress they cant do that. But because the judge that the ATF were talking to is on record saying he wants to ban the ar15 he sided with the ATF. SAW ZERO EVIDENCE in the case, just decided the ATF gets to change the laws as they see fit.

Yet reuters and yahoo put it out like the judge did the world a favor and not that the federal government just completely ignored someone's right to due process and rewrote a law because they felt like it.

We should all understand at this point - after the unchecked spread of disinformation on COVID caused tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of senseless deaths - that Social Media organizations have a responsibility to police traffic on their sites to protect the public. But news comments do NOT fall under the same banner as Facebook or Twitter. News comments can become colorful and impassioned without danger of spiraling into an insurrectionist movement. No rioter will ever respond to FBI questioning of their involvement, "Oh! I read about it in the Yahoo News comments."

I hate it these days that the reporters do not report the facts of things anymore and make good people in the Republican Party look like they are fools when they are the real Americans these days! Reporters need to get back to reporting the truth and not change things around to make people look bad to the American public in order to gain more votes for the Democrats in 2024. Very rude to do this and stop following other people who claim to report news.

I forgot I commented on a post on the 20th of January. I did not reply to someone else's post to my knowledge. Someone actually commented back asking me was I saying I wanted to reset the government and had a reset button gif. My answer is yes because as Americans, all 330,000,000 plus of us have the right and duty to under the Declaration of Independence. I contacted the White House to exercise my right ........ I was ignored. You may think who do I think I am or have a thought that I'm just one person but does it say there has to be more than one? Does it state ANY protocol on this matter? No, it does not. To the author of "please stop publishing....". You are opposed to centrist and left views. To believe what you are asking, you MOST LIKELY get your info from Fox/OAN/Newsmax, etc..
What you don't seem to understands: Those "News" sources are in reality COMMENTARY, and as such, not held to standards of truth and integrity that ACTUAL news is held to.
What you are believing is a result of your, and MAGA's, low levels of cognitive sophistication, allowing your minds to take the easy way out, and simply believing what you hear from these COMMENTARY sources, without any fact checking or research on your part, and then complaining when Yahoo publishes articles that are, in fact, the truth.
The truth is that these sources are VERY prone to telling untruths, knowing that there are a load of MAGA's out there who simply believe without a second thought.
