I have been trying for over FOUR MONTHS to get help with YAHOO NEWS comments section.
I am apparently banned from Yahoo News comment section. I believe the remediation algorithm has mistakenly done this. All posts and replies I make are removed in seconds with a comment that it violates policy. How does 'Hello' violate policy? No one can reply on Yahoo HELP and all I get are cut and paste emails telling me to review policies. I have done that many times. I subscribed to paid support and wasted that money to be told that they cannot help me and to contact OpenWeb. I have done this and not gotten a single reply from them either. How can Yahoo have a service that they do not, or cannot, support????

The level of censorship by Yahoo is beyond belief. They not only censor conservative views but also may completely block your ability to make any comment originating from your account. The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes a Yahoo as "A boorish, crass, or stupid person." Their definition sure applies in this case.

Its not a bug. It is apparently a feature. Though the claim of silencing of conservative voices is widespread to stoke the conservative MSM narrative, silencing voices goes both ways and Apollo Global Management eventually learns which liberal voices need to be muted.
Report the instances to any/all bias or 1st amendment logs you might come across. -

Is there no way to correct this issue?

A common phrase such as "*** for tat" is rejected. The Yahoo.com comments algorithm doesn't like the word "***" even though the word used alone does not mean anything close to the phrase. AI isn't as smart as we might think.
To make my point, Yahoo.com automatically changed the work "t-i-t" to "***" even after pointing out the problem in the "Bug or Error" Help section.

I'm not even allowed to post the single word "test" without it being rejected.
Why?

No matter what I say in comments, it "fails to publish". Why do you allow insults, name calling and cursing from some people, but not allow others like myself to post one word? I don't see that anywhere in your community guidelines. Please review my comments and provide a serious answer. My last resort will be to splash the censorship you exercise all over the many forums of social media I frequent. I ask politely, look into this and respond as soon as possible. I will not wait forever. And BTW, my brother in law is an editor at a widely read news source here in NY and would love to expose this kind of behavior.

I added simple factual statement about a museum, it's s location specifically. Was immediately rejected and appeal rejected. This is AI gone awry. Simple facts: a location, should not be flagged!

1. Yahoo is not a "news" site. It is a scraping and reposting site that parrots obscure website postings.
2. They have no "support" team. The site is run by a bot and survives on ad revenue from the clickbait it reposts (see #1).
3. If you are going to tell users they have violated a term of service item, specify which one and allow an actual appeal since your bot thinks "Good Morning" is somehow a violation. -

SAME cannot even say yes,,, why bother anymore ??? it is clear that 100% unconstitutional CENSORING is happening.. I like others have taken screenshots of yes or no being rejected over and over.
Yahoo allows some to post curse words and hate and others cant post a single word. DISCRIMINATION IS ILLEGAL AND SO ,MANY HVAE PROOF OF IT. -

I’ve been banned since late January. Thought it would only be a couple weeks or month, but it’s now June and I still can’t comment. Ugh so annoying!!

Got the same thing I don't know if my account is suspended, revoked or deleted. I can't comment on the news and am losing interest in Yahoo. This happened about 6-1-23. you should be able to click a button in you account profile and see what is going on. Appeals appear to be ignored, I can't type anything without it being deleted in 1 minutes time. it seems even past comments from months ago have been erased. I have an account it lacks features and I don't know why or how to fix it. I don't want to open another account to do so, just restore what I have had for years.
At this point I don't even know if it's yahoo or some bot erasing me. -

Get screen grabs of all of the hateful comments they do allow, while you can't even post "hello". Use "print screen" (PrtSc) on a laptop or press the volume down at the same time as the power button on a phone. Put the image in a Paint application and show it to other people wherever you can post it on the internet, such as free speech groups on twitter, so everyone is warned about Yahoo's bias. Don't let this censorship remain Yahoo's secret.

I sympathize and appreciate your detailed list of problems you've experienced. I've been unable to see or post comments in the yahoo news section or other sections for months. That is, I don't even see a comments section anymore. If this is the result of some previous comment I posted, I had no notification of being penalized or banned, nor have I had any response when I tried posting a comment in this forum. So the admins are either understaffed or just don't care to deal with an issue that I think is a legitimate one. As for what you said about the paid support, that's good to know but seems typical of how the yahoo system goes. Customer service and support seems to be of no importance.

I am signed in but I keep being told to "sign in" and then it moves up to the search area. I don't bother reading Yahoo news much anymore.

I am experiencing the same issue with my account. It started 4 days ago when I modified a rejected 5 times and was rejected 5 more times. After that, every comment that I made was rejected no matter how benign. I haven't commented for the past 4 days, Today, my first 4 comments were rejected. In the news article there was a statement by Congressman Lynch. I posted "Congressman Lynch's point was correct." That was immediately rejected. I'm beginning to think that my account has been flagged and blocked. If my account has been blocked I would appreciate knowing that and provided with specific reasons why this was done.

You must be a conservative posting FACTS and the TRUTH! Yahoo admins HATE THAT and YOU for doing it.
