SPELL CHECK, PLEASE...
Please, PLEASE...use spell check. I read far too many articles on Yahoo! that have multiple grammar and spelling errors! It's getting to the point where I am thinking of switching to MSN News...why read articles from people who can't even form a correct word or sentence? What kind of writers are you hiring, and where are you finding them? If I have to read the word "organise" instead of 'organize' (among many other things) one more time, I might lose my mind.

If it's coming up on my yahoo homepage in the USA it better be spelled the AMERICAN WAY. It's starting to be in EVERY ARTICLE!!!! You can't tell me all your posters are from Britain!! Drives me nuts!

Morgan is "sort of" right: "organize" is correct in countries using US spelling, while "organise" is correct in countries using UK spelling. Even a writer from Great Britain is expected to use US spelling for a US publisher, and an American writer is expected to use UK spelling for a publisher that uses that. Could it be that the articles you are seeing with the "incorrect" spelling are being linked to Yahoo from a UK-based site?

You may want to consider that there are two correct spellings in the English language for 'organize'. Spelling with a 'z' is the American spelling and with an 's' the British spelling. Both are technically correct. It may be the writer of the article is British.

The incorrect spelling and grammar is basically a sign of the dumbing down of America. It is becoming more and more common. The "writers" graduate but cannot really write and for many this is all they can do.
