If you are going to have a news story about a monkey we should be able to type the word "monkey" in the comment section.
If the story is about a monkey then we might have a legitimate reason for typing the word "monkey" in the comment section. The same goes for "****" when its attached to sapien and body part words when they are relevant to the article. In fact, if the word is in the dictionary it should be considered a legitimate word.

They are using #$@-for-tat censorship - bleeping a list of "politically incorrect" word usages, even when the word is being used in a non-offensive way. It should be totally thrown in the bit bucket.
The ability for 10 users to silence an opposing view with thumbs down should also be destroyed. Free speech should not be voted on.

There is WAY too much censorship in your comment section. Even common words are being bleeped out....it is crazy. This is not a Socialist Country!!! We have Freedom Of Speech in America. As long as vulgar words are not being used, there should be no cause for censorship. If somesone gets their toes stepped on, then so what? We are adults and will get over it. We do not need YOU to play referee.

I have to agree; you can have an article about the Holocaust, but you can't type the word (N)azi in the comments without trying to disguise it from the auto-censor like I just did. And you can't type in the first name of former Vice President Cheney. As NickD said, it's too touchy.

I agree the auto censor is far too touchy.
