[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

League 911622. I've got nearly 10 teams and I've picked 7th or higher on all but 1. There's no way I pay money for 5 of those teams and pick 7th every **** time. You guys are scamming us and you get away with it because there's nobody to complain to. You post a **** message and get an automated answer saying some crazy. There is no way that your computer system randomly picked me 7th in my money leagues. I think yahoo is punishing all the people who complained over the message boards. I'm gonna write everybody in Congress every week until someone looks into how you guys do paying customers. I'll never play yahoo after this year. The odds of drawing the 7th spot on all my money teams is impossible. You guys are putting people where you want them. We don't even know that we're playing real people. When you took the message board that leads me to question if yahoo is the other 9 players? How do I know I'm playing a real person? And don't email back some dumb stuff about oh well were sorry the machine happened to put you 7th in all of your leagues but unfortunately that's our system.

This is the only real way to communicate with other mangers in a public league, Why in the world would Yahoo think this is a good idea? Makes me unlikely to join any public leagues.

Yahoo always trying to stop free speech on every platform! It's fantasy football! But yahoo is liberal trash so I'm not surprised. Just have to find another site!

TERRIBLE! FANTASY IS FUN WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND TALKING SMACK, MAKING COMMENTS ON TRADES, BEING ABLE TO COMMUNICATE QUICKLY. NO ONE USES THE EMAIL TO CHAT, THIS ISN'T THE WORKPLACE !

Not that it matters, but just an FYI: the message boards are gone because the contract with the boards provider ended and they neither renewed nor found a successor. According to Yahoo support, it's also unlikely that they're coming back.
Hello Fantrax.

Way to ruin the fun yahoo. The message boards are a great way to interact and going back and forth is what makes fantasy fun. Yahoo Fantasy seems to go downhill every year. Fire whoever decided this.

Great way to keep everyone on the same page with trades and all that is happening in the league. Smack talk is fantasy football!

How do you email the commissioner of your league?

Are you removing this in private leagues too, or just public leagues?

This is not right. I don’t recall hearing an angry voice toward message boards. That portion is part of the fun experience of fantasy football. Bring it back Or I’m dumping my 3 teams just before the draft!!

Glad they're gone. 90% negativity and BS

As a Yahoo fantasy sports fanatic since 2003, I was VERY disappointed to see you all remove message boards. You need to bring them back as no alternative will work for how we utilized the boards (especially for private Keeper Leagues). Many friends of mine also view the change as a big mistake. Please bring them back ASAP.

When the commissionary in a league that's spread across the US asks for our opinion on a rules change we can't see everyone else's responses and ideas without a message board. Bring the message board back people that don't use it don't care if it's gone but people that do use it will find somewhere else to play if you don't.

I'm not sure there is anyone behind the wheel at this point. You have 2,600+ just in this particular chat, with many others stating the same, that have stated to bring the message boards back...with a lot of long-time users leaving Yahoo Fantasy all together because of this. You ask for feedback, but when 100% of that feedback from fantasy baseball is to bring the message boards back and then you proceed to remove them from fantasy football the whole process is shown to be a farce.
There has never been any oversight or intelligent intervention by any of the admins in Yahoo that I have seen, with no input or response to issues beyond their unquestionable verdict. And with this topic is going into it's 8th month now with no response from any of the admins...it's insulting to the users at best, and a valid reason to leave Yahoo Fantasy Sports completely at worst.
I'm a long time player. Get it together. Reinstate Message Boards. Support your users. Simple enough?

This isn't rght I like to b able to talk on messages about the league and who's in I'm challenging anyone to beat me straight up and I'm going to win it all with the team I drafted

The message board gave the commissioner and everyone else a forum to share ideas or smack talk with a reply-all option that isn't available in email or chat. Many of the older players don't use the chat feature or know where to find it.

What a terrible idea to drop the message boards. That is half the fun of playing in fantasy football, the smack talk along with the good sportsmanship. You think we want to email each other? Who's idea was this, and how fragile are they?

How will we be able to talk smack? It's a big part of playing the game. What's the reasoning behind taking chat away in the first place??
