I can not believe you made Ohtani IL eligible when your rule regarding the IL states they must have same MLB status to be IL eligible.

Hey Eric,
Thanks for your feedback.
Ohtani is a unique player, being included in our game with 2 versions - one as the pitcher and one as the batter. We have set a precedent since his inclusion that if he is unable to pitch due to injury, the pitcher version will have IL status; as long as he can still hit, the real-life player won't go on the IL.

IL trouble
Why can I not add anyone to the IL? That option is not showing up/
Hello Timothy,
The IL roster spot will not show on a team roster until an eligible player with an IL designation tag has been added to the IL roster spot.
If you are having any issues moving an eligible player to the IL, please contact us through the sports tab at help.yahoo.com.

Hi James,
If you have a player who has an eligible IL designation tag, you will be able to move that player into the IL roster spot. When you click on the player to move them, the option for the IL will be available once they have the eligible tag.

Hi Jesus,
Player injury designations are determined by our data provider.
Injury designations will not begin to fully update until the end of spring training, once teams begin finalizing their team rosters.

DL/INJ
Why are you waiting until opening day to put players on DL/INJ? I need to replace them NOW!
Thank you for reaching out in regard to players being put on the IL. Players will receive the IL designation in fantasy baseball once their team in real life officially places them on the IL. If a team has not placed a specific player on their IL yet, the player will not receive the IL designation in fantasy.

Time to reduce the number of IL spots
In the 2025 public prize league in baseball, there are 4 IL spots. I think this was increased from the past because of covid and it is time to reduce it. I checked a public league from 2012 and there was only 1 IL spot. I am a private league commissioner and when I set up that league, it defaulted to two IL sports. We are now using three because of covid but I am now thinking about going back to two. More than that ties up too many players and leaves nothing on the waiver wire. I would like…

IL Arraez status
All pages are showing Arraez is on DL, why isnt on DL at yahoo fantasy? Thx
Hi Gabriel,
Once a player has been listed on the official MLB injury report and placed on the IL by their team, our data provider will update the player's designation, which will then get updated in our game.
A player's player note will not change the injury designation. The player note is a report that is received from a different data provider who is separate from our injury designation provider.
Arraez was updated by our data provider and has the IL tag.

Players on the MLB Bereavement List should be able to be placed on the fantasy IL
It's an MLB 40-man roster exemption just like a proper injury. I don't see any reason why we're not permitted to IL such a designated player in fantasy.
Thank you for your feedback regarding allowing players on the bereavement list to be placed on the IL in fantasy. Currently, players must be officially placed on the IL by their respective teams in real life in order to receive IL status. Players on the bereavement and paternity list will receive NA status in fantasy. Private leagues can use NA spots. We will pass your feedback regarding this along to our team.
