Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.

As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

Lauri Markkanen has started at SF almost every game he has played this year. When the Cavs are healthy he is their starting SF. They've had to shuffle their lineups quite a bit recently because of injuries and protocols.

It’s almost half the season and so much supporting evidence has already been provided to Yahoo on a daily basis but they are still choosing not to approve this request. Why? What else can you possibly need Yahoo?
Make that now 13 games that Lebron has STARTED as PF. How is this not enough proof to make Lebron PF eligible? Yahoo’s ignorance on this is terribly unfair and unjustified!

Chimezie Metu should have C position eligibility. According to Basketball Reference, he plays C on 32% of his playing time.

Ricky Rubio has been sharing the backcourt with Garland for the entire time that Sexton has been out but hasn't gotten his SG eligibility yet. Please add Ricky Rubio as PG/SG on the next update.

Yahoo why did you merge the Lebron PF eligibility post here? Yet you are letting other position eligibility requests for other players stay active? How can you expect people to vote for Lebron when everything is combined here? Seems like you purposely don’t want to see all the votes and comments for the Lebron request since you really don’t want him to be PF despite all the evidence that has been provided. Messed up Yahoo. Please escalate this to management for further review since I have seen you guys approve players for a position after 3 games of starting but I have never seen you not approve a guy who has started 8 games in a row. Doesnt make any sense at all. Why are you against Lebron that much?

Look at all the comments and see how many others feel Lebron should be PF. If Yahoo really evaluates players for new positions *fairly* and make updates where *appropriate*, then there should be no reason to NOT make Lebron PF eligible just because you don’t want him to have 4 positions. That’s not a reasonable answer if he qualifies for it. He even started the LAST 8 games as PF (total 10 this season) so your data providers can’t say there’s not enough evidence when there clearly is. Even if you need to remove 1 position so that he doesn’t have 4, I would take that sacrifice but main point is he should be PF and it is not fair that you are choosing to ignore the update.
