If your league is a High Score league, you can set your lineup every day if you choose to. However, benching a player will remove their points from your score, and you won’t be able to get those points back. You can reinsert that player back in to your starting lineup, but only the games he plays from that point forward are eligible to contribute to his High Score of the week. This is the only scoring format where this occurs. More information regarding High Score leagues can be found here.
