Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26

Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.

We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.

As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players who haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them, and you won't be able to assign Forwards or Defensemen with Goalie eligibility and vice versa.     Connor zary still C, never played C at all. Has always been LW. When people pay money for their leagues and there is a money prize involved this is beyond ridiculous. Yahoo is completely incompetent at this point

    not sure how you guys ever gave Huberdeau or Verhaeghe C, have never played there or taken draws before but lets get to the additions:

    Owen Tippet, RW, has played LW all year long and last year
    Gustav Nyquist, LW, has played RW most of the year
    Erik Haula, LW, has played C all year, look at the Faceoff Wins
    Martin Pospisil, C, has played RW since coming up
    JT Compher, LW/RW, has played C most of the year, look at the Faceoff Wins
    Trevor Moore, LW, has played RW most of the year
    Jamie Benn, LW, splits time at C, look at all the Faceoff Wins
    Trevor Zegras, C, plays LW every time Carlsson is in the lineup
    Jason Zucker, LW, has been flipflopping between LW and RW all year
    Connor Zary, C, has played LW since coming up
    Philipp Kurashev, C, has been playing on Bedards RW since coming back
    Tyler Johnson, C, needs either Wing, he flips around the lineup
    Juraj Slafkovsky, LW, has been playing RW for weeks
    Alex Newhook, C, has been playing LW with Suzuki for weeks
    Mathieu Joseph, RW, has played the LW of Tarasenko almost all year
    Paul Cotter, C, has played LW most of the year
    Cole Perfetti, C, has been playing LW most of the year
    Nik Ehlers, LW, has played the right side most of the year

    That should get you guys started, happy to do this monthly for you since no one in Yahoo seems to be looking at this. Cheers

    Cotter and Perfetti are playing LW while Tanev, Duclair and Slafkovsky are playing RW. Please fix, thanks.

    Mathieu Joseph RW - Has played all 15 games this year on LW.

    Trevor Moore is supposed to also have RW. Yahoo even stated it on 8/17 but was never updated. Please take a look and update.

    Cole Perfetti has always played winger in his professional career, bar the first two games of this season, and he has played the last 15 consecutive games at LW, yet still only has the Center position eligibility.

    Can you guys add RW for Martin Pospisil on CGY please? That's the position he has been playing since coming up. Thank you 🙏

    Can you please update player position? There are a few players who hasn’t played a single game as a center but has only center eligibility. For example Zegras and Zary.

    Fantilli playing RW vs Flyers…only listed as a C. What’s the threshold for gaining eligibility? Perfetti also playing LW. Zegras as well. Why are they locked as C?

    Please get better with updating. It really hurts the game.

    Just stopping by to ask Yahoo to take a look at Perfetti, Ehlers, and Zegras.

    Seems like Perfetti and Zegras are predominantly LW, and Ehlers is a RW. Fwiw, these changes would help their roster percentages without making them OP.

    Brady Tkachuk takes enough faceoffs to be eligible for Center.

    Calle Jarnkrok (TOR) C/LW. Has been playing RW this year. Jarnkrok had full yahoo eligibility last year as well.

    Jarvis plays lw on the first line. He should have lw added

    Cole Perfetti is a LW.

    Cole Perfetti played whole last season as a winger, yet as season started he was listed on Yahoo as center. He played couple of games at center and then moved back to winger, so he should never have been just a C.

    In Fantrax example Perfetti is having LW/RW.

    Please add the winger eligibity to Perfetti as this is clearly wrong and in our league commissioner is not adding own positions unfortunately so we need to use the defeault settings.

    Hello. The new Fantasy Hockey feature mentioned from "10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility" does not seem to be working yet, per our league commissioner. Was there an issue / bug with the rollout of this feature? If so, was this announced anywhere that there was an issue? The "Custom Position Eligibility" link / button, under the "Rosters & Scoring" tab cannot be located in the screen.

    There are obviously a large number of position eligibility changes being requested by Fantasy Hockey users, and this is an important feature for users to manage their rosters and leagues.

    What is Yahoo suggesting as a temporary solution to this while we wait for the Self-Assign feature to be rolled out correctly? Is there another support channel, with additional resources that can be added in the meantime, to field and action these requests?
