Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26

Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.

We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.

As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players who haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them, and you won't be able to assign Forwards or Defensemen with Goalie eligibility and vice versa.     Jack Hughes should have LW added
    Sam Bennett should have LW added

    Granlund should be C/RW (top 6 on nashville is the same)
    Vrana shouuld be LW/RW he plays both sides
    Tage Thompson should be C/LW

    He's a LW on NHL.com and every other hockey reference page. Please add LW so I can keep him!

    Please add RW eligibility to Claude Giroux. He’s been playing RW since his trade to Florida Panthers. Both nhl.com and daily faceoff confirm he is RW.

    Elias Pettersson has been playing LW since November. Needs C,LW.

    Matt Boldy has been playing mostly at RW since being called up. Needs LW,RW.

    Malkin needs to be classified as a winger, not a center.

    When is Elias pettersson getting C, W? He goes back and forth from wing to center yet you have him just as center. ESPN app has it correct. Come on yahoo

    Elias Pettersson is currently playing on the Left Wing and he should have his position updated to C, LW as he is not a strictly Center anymore. Everyone is waiting on this.

    Pettersson Is starting games on the wing, playing full games on the wing.... can we please end the debate around his eligibility and get him w status

    Elias pettersson needs W added. He has it on ESPN app and I'm getting annoyed with Yahoo not correcting this. He doesn't start games at center at all now. Wrap it up

    Elias Peterson has been listen on the nhl roster as LW.... still only a C on yahoo... espn has him as C,Lw.... catch on yahoo

    Pavel Buchnevich has been playing LW for a while now, Please make him RW/LW eligible !

    Mark Scheifele has been playing RW in WPG with Copp at C for a few games now. Please look into it.

    Adam Lowry WPG has been at LW for the past 5 games. I hope he gets LW eligibility at some point...

    Elias Pettersson has been lining up as a left winger with J.T. Miller as the C and Brock Boeser on RW going back to last year, but he doesn't have any winger eligibility. There are nights where Pettersson doesn't take any faceoffs, yet he's locked as a C while Miller has eligibility at all three forward positions. This needs to be addressed.

    Leon Draisaitl should only be C. The guy is putting up over 10+ Draws a game. Makes 0 Sense. Might as well make Mcdavid C,W then.
