Sponsored ad contains malware - ScanGuard is malware
This sponsored ad leads to a page rating antivirus software. One of them, ScanGuard is a well known malware/virus. It took me a couple of hours to remove it from my computer. Please do not expose us to known malware under the guise of antivirus apps.

When I clicked on Sanguard, it downloaded a program. When I tried to install the free version to try, I realized that it had in program fees. I then used AppZap to remove all the related files. The next time I booted my computer (MacBook Pro late 2011, running OS 10.12.6), it opened an app with a window that asked to pay an upgrade the ScanGuard. I located that file, quit the app and deleted the library file. Then the next time again that I booted my computer, it appeared again. I again quit the app and deleted it. When I rebooted my computer, again the app was running. Then I searched and found out that the antivirus program (Scanguard) is a scam and a malware app, not an antivirus app. I then searched and spent 2 hours finally deleting the hidden app that ran when I booted my computer. How To Remove ScanGuard from your macOS and Mac OS X?I first loaded the Scanguard on August 4, and finally got rid of it on August 6. I do not know the times and this sponsored ad was still showing on Yahoo.com this morning. It is not there now.
