It seems like the list of "show less" publishers is fixed to a very small number. When I add a new publisher to the list, it bumps an older one off. I don't want to see anything related to sports--I just don't care for sports new. But there are more sports publishers than will fit on the list. IF there were a way to just hide entire topics, I would be happier. But in the mean time, if you make this list much larger (like 100.. which is not that many really) then I could filter things I don't care about.

Also, if I've hidden NBC sports, why do you think I would want to see NBC Sports Chicago ... I think you can make this feature much much smarter with only a little bit of effort.

Click show less...ya****hoo shows more. You are still managed by brain dead idiots, even after the blond bimbo left.

Perhaps by "not working" they are referring to the sneaky way in which you changed the way you push the publishers to our feed. I can indicate on the line item posts to "see less" of particular publishers. But instead of blocking them from our feed, you simply moved them to banner posts that do not allow us to select "see less of". A very disingenuous way of "fixing" our concern about content push.

Now three months since this thread was started and two months since you've been "investigating this issue" with absolutely no progress made on FIXING THE PROBLEM.

Why is Yahoo allowing only 20 "managing publishers"? After there are 20, then every time I add another, one or more of the publishers get kicked off the list and back into the pool. Why, instead of "showing less of", which basically then leaves it up to someone at Yahoo to determine what less is? Why isn't Yahoo giving the users the criteria for their selections of "less"? Why less? Why not none? Why not let the users determine exactly what they don't want to see (Karshaians, Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Hillary, Bill, all the liberal ****. etc), I still might get Huff Post articles, but at least I would be able to dump a lot of the **** they push and jam down our throats! You know, just like what Yahoo does!

I've been a yahoo user since it started and I'm about to give up because the "show less" feature seems to have the opposite effect and all I ever see is reality TV and celebrity garbage. On the rare instances I click on one of these types of stories it's an accident. I do not search for this **** and it makes me navigate away from Yahoo in frustration. Please allow users to eliminate categories like Celebrities, Reality TV and Social Media darlings. I don't care if they pay to be on your site. We should be allowed to see articles and commercials we are actually interested in. And when I tried to post this as a comment to an already submitted idea the whole site choked...repeatedly

Why is Yahoo limiting the number of "managing publishers" to 20? And then if the user exceeds that twenty, one or more of the publishers goes back into non-limited pool?!!!! Why isn't Yahoo letting the users decide what they want to see?

When I click on "see less of" the kardashian *****, i expect to see LESS OF THE KARDASHIAN *****. NOT MORE "stories". You suck. Same with "sports". Elles. Cosmo. Vanity Fair.

How is it I ask for "less" huffpost articles but still receive more than 3 article before I run into ONE fox produced article?? I have seen or "responses" to other like postings....blah..blah..blah....just go to "see less"...blah...blah...blah.... We all know that answer is a bunch of BS! Why is there not more Fox or any other "conservative" news articles on my news feed!! BIASED MUCH!!

I agree 100 percent with Christopher's comment of 3/3/19. I have clicked on "show less of Cosmo" about 1,000 times, and would prefer never to see Cosmo, Elle, or GQ ever again. But there it is, right at the top. Why doesn't Yahoo separate their news from their fashion and celebrity sections?

  • Christopher commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Every article I mark to see less are the ones that show up first on my feed. Not even just articles from the same publisher (which show up all over the feed too), but THE EXACT ARTICLES I DON'T WANT TO SEE. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE KARDASHIANS, MEGAN MARKLE, ABOUT WHO'S WEARING WHAT CLOTHES OR SHOES, ABOUT HOW TO APPLY MAKEUP, OR TEEN IDOLS STARS. FIX THIS FEATURE OR REMOVE IT COMPLETELY SO USERS AREN'T FOOLED INTO THINKING YOU CARE ABOUT TAILORING THEIR EXPERIENCES.

Managing publishers panel that lists all of the sites that a user wants to see less of is limited to 20. If you add any new ones, the 20 are in jeopardy of moving back to being able to see them all the time. Where does it say that a user only gets to have 20 publishers listed? Another cheating way by Yahoo to keep their liberal **** flowing to its users!

  • Timothy G. Hess commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

And yet Yahoo has the time to merge "like items" like problems with their "manage publishers" and still can't fix the problem that they created which is worthless. Has any of the illustrious programmers ever think to sign on as a normal user and not one with extended rights? Today since the "manage publishers" fixture was added, I once again requested less from Huff Post because it shows that I haven't selected Huff Post to see less! Hire somebody that can fix the problem!!

  • letm_eat_cake commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Please, I am begging you not to show me asinine articles from Teen Vogue, Vogue, Cosmo, Esquire, all that garbage. Please fix the "show less" feature so that it actually works. Or start another site for people who want to read all the stupid celebrity news and all about such fascinating (hahah) information such as how to put your makeup on or what shoes are popular.

  • Timothy G. Hess commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Yahoo merges problems and YET THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR SYSTEM STILL DOESN'T WORK! How many Yahoo engineers does it take to fix a problem they created....1200....1199 to merge which does nothing to fix the problem and 1 person overwhelmed by the idiots that made the problem!

  • letm_eat_cake commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

This feature is a waste of time as it only shows less for one browsing session. God, how I wish I never had to see another article from Elle, Cosmo, etc., all that trashy **** with the Kardashians, and the lefty-lefty sites like Huffpo and Esquire. If Yahoo really wanted to be balanced, they might throw in an article from The American Interest or Quillette once in a while.

  • Timothy G. Hess commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Huff Post still appears every day as if I didn't select it to see less of! How long does it take for you to fix a problem that should have never happened in the first place! Seems your testing of a new product is severely lacking or non-existent!
