How can we improve New Mail?

COMPLETELY USELESS TO HAVE ALL SENT MAILS AS UNREAD

SENT MAILS ARE NOT TO BE READ AT LEAST NOT BY THE SENDER,
to have all those mails in the unread tab is ridiculos
