Yahoo email is the primary reason I started using an ad blocker plug-in!
The constant loading of ads in my browser was slowing down my entire computer, my browser was becoming overloaded and unresponsive creating horrid lag with every few characters typed. When I tried the ad blocker, it counted HUNDREDS of attempted ads in minutes, 3-5 were blocked with every click of my mouse within Yahoo mail. I cannot use this account WITHOUT an ad blocker, so I will just keep closing the stupid pop-up with the raised eyebrow scolding me for blocking ads. I've had this account since the very first year Yahoo offered email service. But at this rate I will have to set up my gmail account to receive my email from Yahoo so I can read it and deal with it without constant lag.
I have no quarrel with the appearance, layout, or function of your service, but I don't think it's worth paying a (rather high) monthly fee. If you had kept the simple text ads or single image ads, I would not have had to resort to using the ad blocker.

I'm seriously going to find another new online store to sell my products on because of these unrelenting spam ads Yahoo is putting in my business email inbox. Is it really worth it Yahoo...??

I have this problem too. I have listed Yahoo as "trusted" in my anti virus programme and on my browser (edge) yet I still get this annoying popup every time I open my email. I have no dedicated Ad Blocking software on this computer.

Get Webmail Ad Blocker WAB to get rid of the ads on the right-side of the screen. It clears that area and it lets Mail use the whole screen.
It's available for Firefox and Chrome and it's free. It also works in GMail.
I bet Yahoo deletes this post!

My mail is slow to load. It is slow to do anything within it: delete, pull up my contacts, reply, but most frustrating me is that while I know how to type, I look like a complete idiot because letters are not "received" by your program. I also see the curser go backwards and erase letters already typed. I must type slowly, and watch to be sure that every letter and space is in place. Just typing this little bit is frustrating. It's not my computer, because when I am in word, I can fly along the keyboard. I now write my letter in word, and attach it to my emails. I can better format my letters, and it's easier to print them out. Printing an email is very frustrating and I waste a lot of paper.

I used to have add blocker plus. Now I do not see this emblem. Somewhere along the line I was caitioned to remove it so I did. Now I do not get e-mail. If I try to send e-mail it says it was sent but I am not sure that it was sent. I really do not want to pay for something when it will probably turn out the same way it is now.

It was Yahoo's greed in stuffing its webpages full of ads (some of which are malicious scam ads that Yahoo apparently has no conscience about promoting) that finally made me install an adblocker. Yet now Yahoo realises that it has made a blunder in cramming so many ads onto each page, because the result is that many of your customers are now blocking them, and every time we sign in we are presented with a pop-up request to disable our adblocker. Your management team needs to wake up and grasp the reality that greed over excessive advertising is counterproductive, because it leads to your customers blocking ALL advertising. Yahoo would be better off by allowing some ads (preferably showing us the courtesy of not including scam ads) so that customers willingly disable their adblockers. I, and no doubt many others, would be happy to tolerate limited advertising, but while Yahoo persists in obsessively overloading its pages with junk, I won't be switching off my adblocker, and the constant irritating pop-up request to do so is something that in time I may consider to be sufficient reason to ditch Yahoo entirely.

I don't mind STATIC ads that don't change every few seconds. If that was what you were showing me, I wouldn't mind white-listing you. But I'm trying to work here, and your ads are too distracting to make that possible. Tell your advertisers that it's YOUR fault I don't see or click on their ads.

I don't mind an ad or two, but when my adblocker shows 20+ items blocked, that's a speed/stability/security issue. You're already mining me. I get it. I know you need to make money and that nothing is free. But when your single tab crashes 40 OTHER TABS, you're wrong. Between the Firefox Adblocker and ABP, I don't see any of your ads anyway. So slim it down to one or two tasteful and simple ads (and no hidden domains) or people like me will just keep doing what we're doing...which is not seeing any ads, EVER. You pick. Really love your service other than that. Your strongest offering, frankly. Better than your search.

Accept ads are par of the deal, but, the add in the in-box itself is just too obtrusive. Stick them anywhere but not in the in-box as it looks too much like an email!

I got AD BLOCKER PLUS on. I'm keeping it on. Yahoo says Ad Block is slowing my computer's ability to function Yahoo properly only...I got Ad Blocker to stop the ADS from slowing my comp down.
BUT... That's not the underlying problem here. See the lower left side under "Views" where it says PURCHASES.
The NEW mail is tracking ALL we do. How do I know this?
You haven't hit Yahoo's Quicksand until you buy something online and Yahoo's new PURCHASES popup rears it's UGLY head and blocks you from doing anything before you click on it to see what they're SELLING that's similar to what you just bought that saves you Money

Each time I see a popup about my ad blocker blocking your ads when I view my email, I will transfer one sender account to google email.

There are two types of ads in this world, those who appear on side panels that don't move or flash like in newspapers and who get blocked! Yahoo ads are blocked.

I use Ad blocker because if I don't, the site times out before it can even load my mail. I am sick of the popup telling me about my ad blocker. At least I know it's working. If you want ads, and to display current news, bring back the dashboard. Then people can go to home.yahoo.com and see all of that, or just go straight to their no-fuss email if that's all they want.

If the ads didn't take up so much of the screen & used less band width, I wouldn't use an ad blocker. I don't mind appropriate ads.
