How can we improve New Mail?

There is a an idea that was posted, "Tighter Vertical Spacing". The Admin posted a solution that does not work and closed further comments. This is really bad.

I have my "inbox spacing" setting as "small" and there is still a LOT of wasted space.

There are a lot of complaints about the wasted space on the page. It might be prettier but functionally it is very deficient.

    Admin:
    Do not reply with "change your inbox spacing to smal" and mark as solved as you have done to so many other people. This is rude and I will send a letter to every manager above you.

    The amount of wasted blank space in the page is obviously bad.
